The college management is good enough although it is overpriced.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course guides me to be a better doctor. The exams are conducted fairly. The exams are conducted in a huge exam hall on the 4th floor of our college building. The students are spaced adequately to prevent looking into other's answer sheets. There is scope for research activity with ICMR.
Placement Experience
The internship provides a salary of RS 8000 per month. It prepares well for post graduation. Interns are exposed to a large number of patients.
College Events
There is an annual fest called De Javu in which all the students of every batch participate. It covers a wide range of fields including singing, dancing, acting, drama, art, fashion show and lots more. There is a Holi festival celebration organised each year. The management did Kite festival last year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
An average private quota seat demands a fee of 9 lakhs per annum in total including the mess and the hostel fees. A government seat demands 3 lakhs per annum for the same and the management seat about 25 lakhs. Apart from that you have to pay for exam fees each year and a variety of small fees put together which they didn't mention before.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not opt for any scholarship or educational loan. The college does provide facilities for this. I am not sure about the procedure.
Campus Life
Campus life seems to be good. The gender ratio is almost 40:60 per batch with girls being a larger group. People from all over the country come here and there is no discrimination whatsoever. All of the students here are straight. There are Hindus, Christians and Muslims here.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I live in the hostel. It is a two sharing facility. The hostel is well maintained. The bathroom is kept clean and tidy. There are helpers available round the clock to tend to your problems. Special care is taken if one falls ill
Alumni/Alumna
The college seniors are very helpful and they look out for you in all situations. The alumni visit on occasions and give guidance on how to complete the course.
Admission
There was online counselling on July 12 2018 through which I got my seat. We had to go to the college twice before admission. The first time we went they asked us to submit some forms and this confirmed our admission. The process was very systematic. The second time was for the induction just before the college started.
Faculty
There are about 100 lecturers and doctors in the college. The average age must be 48. All of them have done a course in MBBS and most of them have done post graduation too. The team of lecturers is strong and knowledgeable. They clear whatever doubts we have as students and no topic goes unexplained.
