Remarks

It is one of best college in Assam. The administration is very good and responsive. Other departments are very good (BA BSc Bcom). But BCA itself is struggling. Because it is not government funded. It is a self funded course. However the admission fee is competitively very low only 10000 per semester. But for many students it is not affordable. So the rate of admission is low. That's why i think BCA is struggling in Kaliabor College or any other colleges in Assam. By struggling I mean ( teacher get very low salary so they come do the job for one-two year for experience only and then they leave to get other job.

Faculty are decent. But as i told previously most of them do the job for only experiences because it is not a government job and they get only a decent salary. So they leave their job after one or two or three years. So something times the faculty: student ratio is bad or I should say faculty; class ration is bad

In Assam you will not get campus placement in any college for BCA. But BCA course is a very good professional course you will not have any problems to get job if you able to do MCA in a good institute.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't have any problems with fee structure. I think it is the lowest in Assam. But because it is a self finance course it is 10000 per semester. It is low price but for many students of Assam it is not affordable

Campus Life

For bca students the computer lab is good in size. You will have no problem to do practical. The library is also very good and big. You will get a good amount of books to read. You will get to do your sports skills also in college week.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement the students should be in final semester or should be graduated.. Automobile companies visit for the placement and it is limited. The package they offer is like 5-6 LPA . 5% of the total students are getting the placements. My plan is to prepare for competitive exams after getting the degree .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to learn coding and pursue my dream as a web development. Our department prepare us well for real-world applications by making us doing project and assignments that are related to real world applications for our further future. We are learning how to do static and dynamic projects. They should change some of their teaching method as for labs (partical) and give more explanation on that as some teachers are not that good in explaining a practical part . Theory exams are easy but practical parts is a little difficult sometimes due to the lack of understanding the subject but some are easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in taking computer Application, the university have also provide with many opportunity to enhance our knowing which also made me to dive deep inside the realm of computer world. The curriculum provided are very helpful for me and i believe I will be able to solve anything in my coming future. The teacher are well educated and friendly we could understand what ever they taught us, they also make us understand what they taught us in any possible way. There is nothing to improve about the faculty but the university can improve the class room by providing new chairs and upgrade a little. The timing for exam and class doesn't effect my routine it is well set according and exam timing different fir each department which is very efficient and not crowded. They provide about two faculty in each exam hall during exam.

Degree is affordable as compared to other colleges.

The admission process starts right after the declaration of the 12th results, that is from mid-June to July. For the admission form, you have to open the Kaliabor College official website. The fee for the application form is Rs. 200, and after submitting the form, the printout has to be submitted to the college office. The cut off is 60% with PCB in the 12th.
