University College of engineering and technology Bikaner is the constituent college of BIKANER TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY. You have to fill the Rajasthan engineering admission process (reap) form to get the chances of admission in this college which is around July, or direct admission is also possible in some circumstances. The college provides a well-equipped laboratory as well as highly experienced faculties. The only bad aspect about this college is punctuality, the classes and lab didn't run on time and there is not industrial exposure to students to get familiar with the field conditions. The reason for preferring this college over others is due to well-equipped labs, cleanliness, experienced faculties, and placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose civil engineering as my course because it has wide opportunities and scope in the government sector as well as the private sector. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:21. 4 faculties in the civil engineering department are PhDs while the others 7 are post graduated from IITs and nits. The teaching is average. The exams are conducted on time and it is easy to pass them if you studied on regular basis.
Internships Opportunities
The college didn't provide internships on campus. We have to opt only for our campus internship. Based on your percentage and skills companies higher students for internships.
Placement Experience
In the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like ARIHANT, TCS visits. The Highest package is about 10 lakhs and the average package is 3 lakhs. Around 15% of students placed every year from all the departments. My plan after engineering is for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The semester fee is 35000 and it costs overall fees of engineering 280000. The government provides many scholarships to eligible students but it is difficult to apply in college. The college placement is average, nearly about 3-4 companies visit every year.
Campus Life
Yes, there is one main annual fest 'abhivyakti' which is conducted every year. It is 5 days of cultural and technical event. The college library provides a wide range of books around all journals. The sports facilities are less although NCC facilities is provided.
