Remarks
Amity university is a really great place to study. There are many facilities. There is discipline as well as fun in the campus. My department faculty were very awsome and cooperative and helped me develop a lot. The skills i developes due to all tge training Amity gave me helped me get an edge over a lot of people. They also helped me to broaden my experiance and mind to a good level.
Entrance Preview
I always had a passion for literature and reading. I wanted to have an indepth knowledge about English literature. For this pupose i chose this university. I fulfilled the required criteria of marks in 12th and secured my admission after written round and interview round in Amity university itself.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course cuirriculum is very rigrous as well as highly informational.
Internships Opportunities
As far as internships go, we have a summer project, where we have to submit a detailed research paper. This paper is a subject as in whole and is taken very seriously. Weekly reports have to be presented on the progress and each individual is assigned a mentor. There is no stipend.
Placement Experience
Since i had to study further, as well as most of my batchmates wanted the same, placement was not a factor in the course. Even though there is provision for placement in many publishing houses and companies in post os content/creative writer. With CTC around 2 lakhs.
College Events
There are a lot of events in the college, mainly the college fest which is star studded. Other than that there is sangathan, which is a sports meet. There is human values quater, where various social issues are identified and worked upon. There are many competitions held on a regular basis like debate , declamation, mime, skit plays, online gaming etc. Participation is very high in these competitions, internally and externally.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a bit high, but the perks are also good as there are many facilities provided as well, like security, gaming alley, bowling alley, swimming pool, shpoting range etc. Since i do not live in the hostel i have no idea about the food provided, but as far as i know, there is no provision for food in the hostel. The hostels have to be booked in advance. And if not available, the PG's are nearby and hence do not pose much of a problem.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not availed any scholarships, but there are few scholarships which you can avail on the basis of your performance in the exam.
Campus Life
The campus life is really good and fun. There are many extracurricular activities on a regular basis, ranging from robotics, to dances, to debates. We get a very large platform for our skills. They are really well organised.The gender ratio is normal. There are lots of cultural groups and activities. The university follows a strict rule of discpline and conduct. There is zero tolerance for any wrong activity.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network also help as mentors and the seniors are very friendly and helpfull. They help in studies as well as in securing notes.
Faculty
The faculty is highly dedicated and they take thier task very seriously. I was really pleased by the passion of the faculty in helping the students learn what was literature all about. They make it fun as well. The course curriculum is very broad and diverse. It covers a lot centuries and ages.
