Remarks
College management has to focus mainly on the quality of professors and students now. The life was good and amazing. Whatever student learns in college is practicality of life which happened and grateful to the college for same.
Entrance Preview
The college admission was thru MP-PET and I have secured rank of 526 during that period. the college previously was known as Govt engineering college Ujjain and has been one of old colleges in the state, Madhya Pradesh. as I was looking for Electronics and communication branch other govt college was full and this had the seats, so opted for it
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of this college comes under RGPV, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, and the curriculum was as per the university. The faculty was to be honest was not great. their were many lecturers and professors were less but the amount of exp professors bring was good.
Internships Opportunities
The internship happenend in BSNL for electronics. It was pretty good where they explained various channels available during that time. How the spectrum is getting used and how the data or voice gets sent across. There was not stipend during over time.
Placement Experience
The placement was good but not in the college. Students had to visit either indore or bhopal for the placements. but the college was getting invitations to attend the drive with other colleges. As far remembered there were around 25 odd companies came for my branch, electronics and communication. Till the end of the october 2006 almost 95% of students got the placements.
College Events
There was annual festival used to happen but not on great extent. The participation was mainly from the city engineering colleges, two at that time.
Fees and Financial Aid
There was loan facility available from each and every bank but have not taken any.
Campus Life
The gender ratio was not good in Mechanical department which usually happens, but in all other batches it was good. labs had old instruments and not the latest ones but manageable. Competitions you will get to know of what is happening where and it is upto mostly individual to participate.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels had spacious rooms with two and three sharing. There were separate hostels for both boys and girls. Two hostels were there for boys. The food was not great. It was messy in mess food so mostly people used to eat outside.
Alumni/Alumna
All the senior students are working in MNCs in management positions and the network is very strong as the college has backing of around 48 years of batches now.
