Remarks

Except college is ranked second, all standards you are given here are first class, If at all you are ever eligible for the college, dont miss the opportunity to be part of this noble institute, College administrators are kind and helpful.Rise and be the NAIRITE.

Entrance Preview

To get admission in this prestigious institute student need to appear for COMMON ENTRANCE TEST(CET/PMT) after giving the HSC Examination. AIPMT is other exam through which 15% quota is filled. I made it through CET/PMT, a state medical entrance Score of 160+ guarantees a seat in medical college which is out of 200 NAIR stands in middle of city at mumbai central a key business area. Which is near from all great places, apart hostel facilities at cheap rates and is best among all colleges. My college ranks 2nd position in state.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

MBBS comprises course of 5 and half years, and last yet being the internship at same college. Course is basic medical subject and after qualifying this gives you a assured degree of MBBS which is recognised all over India. Being 2nd position college, faculty here is no doubt the best. Most of HODs and HOUs are the gold medalist and lects and professors leave no mark to provide excellent guidance.

Internships Opportunities

After passing the final year, you get eligible for doing intership programme. Before starting you get a training for a week about dealing with patients and how health care system works!Total working hours is about 6-8 hours/day and gives you varied learning opportunities. You get stipend of 6000/- month. Which probably going to increase to 10K in next year.

Placement Experience

5

100% placement opportunities! After clearing your all prof exams and complete intership for a year, you get MBBS degree which is valid through out the country. You can apply at any medical college as Medical officer or join a plain post at any department who can make about 50Grands a month. Apart, you can join any Primary health centre at rural place or at native place. You can also appear for POST graduation examination by which you can earn as well as get a PG degree who earns about 45Grands a month!

College Events

4.5

Aarambh is Grand cultural festival of Nair, It is in the period of Jan-Feb which is peak fest season in mumbai at all colleges. Scholar Events like Symposium, Group discussion, paper presentation, poster making are there. Entertainment events like ROCK band, paint ball, singing, HIPHOP archives, HASH, Salsa are part of the fest. Annually about 10-15 K students make their presence at event through out the Country. Marathi fest of college is SHRAVANSARI. It is month of September.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government institute, it is way cheaper than those private medical colleges. Per semester fee is 25 Grands and make it to total of 9 semesters .Being a category student you need not cough out a single a penny except the development fees. But being a meritorious student, you can avail various scholarship who can makes fees to zero.

Fees and Financial Aid

Various scholarship program are there-1) DAROBJI TATA TRUST SCHOLARSHIP 2) NAROTTAM FOUNDATION 3)HAMIR MEHTA TRUST 4) NIRO MODI FOUNDATION (No loan facility at college level).

Campus Life

4

Hostel life is the best part of studens life. And our college leaves no point to fulfill that fun. Gendet ratio is about 60:40 :: males: females. We have regular hostel parties which are self organized.big ground at hostel keeps ypu paced with physicue making available football ground, basketball court, cricket ground, volleyball court, tennis court and indoor sports like TT AND chess, carrom.Debates and research project run through out the year.No racial discrimination has ever been reported and no issues regarding politics and ethnicity.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel at nair is the best among all m medical collges in Mumbai. It is located at hajiali. Every student admitted to college holds a seat at hostel too, Hostel fees are quite cheap and convenient. You have to pay 4000/- annually. Also interested students can opt for paying guest but that proves to put quite expensive summing to about 10-15 K for Hallkitchen. Rooms at hostel are clean and suffice the need. You get to live alone in room or with partner with your chocie. Theres canteen which serves quality food for 7 am to 10pm.

Alumni/Alumna

There cannot be any best guide than your seniors. They serve you as footmarks to success. There's always hype of students getting ragged by senior.but here you wont find any of such misconduct.' Except intro and getting know to eachother. Various Alumni are part of our college. They costantly provides college with guidance as well as amenities .Chapter 24/nair is the alumni who has provided me with services.

Exam Structure

In total duration of 4 and half years, you have to appear for 9 semesters and 4 university exams!Lectures make about 3-4 hours everyday for 4 years. In first year, you have to make Lab attendance quite seriously. You need to dessections at anatomy sessions and perform Pathological test at physiology sessions. Later in second year and ahead, we have clinical postings where you have to attend wards which can be little cumbersome but it's compulsory.

Remarks:

Positive: The college's infrastructure is really good. Negative: Being a private medical college, a lot of money is charged and they even earn extra money by charging unnecessary numerous times, very expensive admission forms and other expenses. Faculty is okay, selected few are only good. It is placed in a town which isn't well developed (Ahmednagar) There could be more extra curricular events and less restrictions for students living in the hostel, but there aren't.
