Remarks
My college is an all girls institution which holds a legacy of over 60 years of academic excellence. My college is affiliated to MDSU - one of the most trusted universities in Ajmer and has a proud NAAC 'A' accreditation to show off. I chose to hold a bachelor's degree in science because I have always been a nature-lover and aspire for a career in research. The most attractive feature of my college is the newly renovated 'Fortunatus Indoor Stadium' where all the cultural activities and fests are conducted.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am greatly pleased by the lab facilities, enlightning class sessions and monthly industry visits that were conducted by The Science Department of my college. In my college, we have a satisfactory student faculty ratio of 20:1. All the faculties are postgraduates in their fields and maintain a friendly relationship with students. I was guided through all the three years of my program by my teacher and mentor - Sister Swapana John.
Internships Opportunities
I am currently an intern at Collegedunia as a review writer for colleges. I applied for my internship on Internshala where I got this prestigious 3-month internship. I am paid a stipend of Rs. 8000- 10,000 monthly daily work of 4-5 hours.
Placement Experience
My college has a placement cell in which all the final year students can get enrolled by filling an application form. It provided all the guidance and information I required to land an internship and a job. Most of the companies like Infosys, Shree Cement, Aditya Birla Group,etc., that visit on-campus ask for a masters' degree in my program, but some of my classmates got placed.
College Events
I had an awesome college-life as it was always buzzing with cultural events, competitions and activities. From Freshers' Day to Independence Day, Teachers' Day, Christmas eve, Sophiesta, annual day, inter-collegiate sports' meet, Sophians' Day, the annual fashion show, student exchange programs, annual debates and annual hindi and english plays, everything helped boost my self-confidence and groomed my personality.
Campus Life
My college boasts of a half-Olympic size swimming pool, a beautiful chapel, 3 flower gardens, 2 large basketball courts, 4 auditoriums for conducting meetings and seminars, 4 computer labs fully-equipped with internet facilities and a ground the size of a football field. My college also has a central library overflowing with books old and new, along with separate libraries for every department. The labs are amazingly impressive with all the required equipment and museum specimens.
Hostel Facilities
The on-campus hostel facilities of my college are open to all and can be availed to a maximum of 140 students. Equipped with all the basic amenities like a mess, a TV lounge, a canteen, double-sharing rooms and common bathrooms, my hostel was more like a home away from home. Some of my friends also lived in off-campus PG's that were present in the college's vicinity but compared to their annual rent of Rs. 72,000-80,000, I only paid Rs. 60,000 as I lived on-campus.
