Remarks

College overall is good but the management is bit strict which is good but sometimes we get the feeling that we are still in school. We came to college as grown up but some freedom is good but that don't expect much in this college.

Entrance Preview

I got into the college through 12th percentage basis(Merit). I got 74.5 in my 12th. As the college was in south india the score was below average but i was lucky that i got a seat in 3rd counselling and got instrumentation as my field.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Courses were good and electives we based on coding like java or practical subjects like industrial instrumentation. And first year was same for all the courses. From 2nd year we went to our department buildings and started learning our core subjects. Each semester we use to have 7 subjects with 2 labs.

Internships Opportunities

College itself doesnt provide internship but placement companies which come there offer internship instead of final year project. One of those companies are Zoho Corporation and stipend will be around 15-20k.

Placement Experience

4.5

In my batch the placement ratio was around 85-90%. Companies like google, amazon, ebay, tcs, ibm, wipro, zoho, accenture, freshdesk, microsoft. I dont know all the packages but i know google gave around 14-16lpa, microsoft 12lpa, zoho 6.6lpa, ebay 15-16 lpa.

College Events

4

Technical event -DAKSH, NAtional tech festCultural event - kuruksastra, national cult festdomestic cult fest- carpediem, we use to lots and lots of festival which kept our schedule always busy and fun.All departments use to organize technical events and people from different colleges use to come and participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible. It was 35000 tution fee per semester when i started so my whole year will cost around 1 lakh approx including stay and everything which was quite feasible. it was really cheap if compared to colleges like srm and vit which have the same standards just the better infrastructure.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. not a clue. But our college do promote semester abroad project where you will be able to go to foreign universities for your final year project using the tie up of those college with our college.

Campus Life

4

I was a part of RCS which is robotics club at SASTRA and we were not high class but we learned a bit or two about the robotics and how it functioned. And my college was a traditional south indian college so not much parties happen there but we had a cult festival which is knoqn as KURUKSASTRA which was fun.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel life was pretty fun but mess food was a mess. Typical south indian food which is not a good sign for north indian guys as myself but we survived thourgh restaurants and road side shops. First year hostel was common for everyone and it was 4 person sharing where we will be provided with cot and table and from 2nd year we can choose our own hostel from 6 different hostel. I always took the single room in one of the biggest hostel which was called mega hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Currently i am working with my college seniors in my current company and yes seniors are still in touch.

Exam Structure

Labs were quite chilled out and main exams were okay but the mid terms were quite hectic. we use to give 2 mid terms everyday for 3 continuous day and course were also use to be big. so we use to have 3 mid terms in which the marks of top 2 will be taken into consideration and those mid terms will be of 50 marks so they will be converted to 20 20 each and then rest 10 was given by faculty and the last 50 was taken from the main semester exam.

Faculty

4

Faculties were pretty good and experienced. Most of the faculties will have the minimum degree of Mtech and other few will have PHD under there belt and have published papers in reputed journals. Some faculties who are doing Ph.D in our college will take some guest lectures in our class and share the experience.
