Harsh Raj K's Review On Sahyadri College Of Engineering & Management (SCEM), Mangalore

There is nothing much to say bad about our college other than they dont give holiday for some of the festivals even if they are given holiday from goverment. College has good infrastructure, very attractive and the college is veru near to the bangalore n.h. providing good transportation facility.collge has wide area for parking those who get own vehicle. Good faculty and canteen.

I worte CET(karnataka) exam to get seat in this college, i got rank around 20k and got seat in mechanical branch here through CET allotment of seats.

The college has a good faculty members, who teaches really well and very supportive, and very kind ( most of them). The mechanical branch is very good here and has got talented students.

The college it self provides so many internships from different companies. The companies they get are very popular too. Campus selection is good here than any other mangalorean colleges.

When the placement thing comes the sahyadri is the best, different companies like IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Cisco etc come for every sem .and get more than 50 students usually.

Yearly college conducts programs like sinchana where the college provides students to show off their talents .then usual programs like college day, sports day are conducted. Then there tech day where they make us to exhibite the projects we have done.and there is graduation day for final year students.

The students who came from cet exam have to pay around 60 k per year, and those who came from COMEDK exam have to pay around 1lakh and management seat fee varies from 1lakh to 3 lakh depending on influence, and other circumstances.

Actly the college doesnt give any scolorship or loan facility, but we can take help of bank loans for paying the fee. We can apply for differnt scolorships from outside being in the college. The college doesnt have any special rule for that.

My overall experience in our college is the college is nice. The college provides all the facilities such as half amount of money needed for the projects .labs are good with ac except the mechanical labs. College has got a big ground where the sports are conducted .robotics lab is there for which we have to pay some joining amount.

The students who come from other state or far districts like north karnataka usaully take help of hostel facility. The hostel facility is good with different hostels for boys and girls with good security. The fee is also affordable. But the mess is little costly.

The alumni network is good here, the alumnis are selected from students itself with voting . The senior students are nice no ragging here, helping nature most of them have got as collee had strict rules.

Exams are conducted for every sem, a sem is of 6 months. So yearly 2 sems so 2 exams .total 8 sems we have ( 4 years of course)the exam is of vtu. From next year college is going to be autonomus.
