Remarks

My keen interest in Audiology course and the prospects of getting a job easily made me choose this course and Mar Thoma College is one of the best institutions offering it. I like everything about the College including the campus life, teachers etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good but is of tight schedule. The syllabus is vast. Teaching, Examination, everything is perfectly organised. We're given proper internships and experiences soon after the course. The faculty members are very supportive. They provide detailed classes.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is no particular placement or job opportunities for the students there. As it is a Para Medical course, there is no scope for that. But as it is a Medical field , students easily could get a job after completing the degree. Many students go for higher education.

College Events

5

The College actively organises various events and activities for the students. There are programs for each celebration, including Onam, Republic Day, Independence Day and other special occasions. There are also fests where students from other institutions also participate.

Campus Life

The college building consists of a built in area of 36,000 sq ft. It has state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities like ENT, Anatomy and Speech and Hearing laboratories that are well equipped and properly maintained. There are lecture halls and conference halls and a library with many publications, journals, and other books.

Hostel Facilities

Yes Hostel facility is there. Hostel facility is open for only girls. Rooms are good and it supports the growth of students in Academics. Bathroom facilities are proper and study table also is there for us. The average rentals we need to pay is about 15000. Food and other necessities are okay.

The major aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course was it's broadness in scope and allowance to be a base for other professional courses. But the curriculum not really prepares us for real world applications.
