Remarks

It comes under Centre Govt College. In my college we have separate hostel buildings for every year due to which u can get Hostel easily every year n there is no scope of being bullied by seniors. Placements at that time were high.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Syllabus has not been updated from years. Internship is of 4months n it depends on how the students get exposure in their departments or hotels. Faculties are very good n helpful.All the Faculties stay inside college campus so they are friendly after college hrs.

Most of the companies visit the college campus, whichever company is not interested in on campus they call students off campus to Chandigarh or Delhi. Placement process is very good n the college has its own placement suit for students.

College Events

We have G.A.M.E. which means Gurdaspur Annual Meet of Events. It includes all the sports, academic n other competitions in which students take part. Talking about other cultural events we have many of them.

Campus Life

Talking about Infrastructure Ihm Gurdaspur is ranked no1 in India amongst other colleges. The college has Basketball Court, Badminton Court, 2 different Volleyball playground 1 for 1st year n 2nd for 3rd n 2nd yar students.

Hostel Facilities

We have separate Hostels for boys n girls. For Boys hostel buildings are also separate from each other for each year. 1st year boys Hostel can accommodate about 90to100 students n they have their mess in their hostel only. Talking about rooms in 1st year boys hostel one room includes 3students. 2nd boys hostel can accommodate the rest of the Institute batch. 3rd year boys hostel can accommodate 100-110 students. Rooms in 3rd year boys hostel are single double n tripple which are allotted on the basis of marks to students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculumn of chandigarh university is releavant and covers core subjects with projects and labs. It support basic industry readiness, but pratical exposure can improve. Exam are held mid and the end semester with modern difficulty. More hands on experience and updated technoilogies would enhance overall effectiviness and career prepartions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type then run spell check. Technology is changing our NEEDS opinion is that curriculum should reflect our reality. No one gets paid to solve problems that have already been solved. Students should be exposed to solving problems they have not seen before but that can be solve with the content they have learned in class. This will help them develop problem solving strategies they will be able to use the rest of their lives

High School Pass out can apply for this course. There is a exam called NCHMCT Jee and the application fees is somewhat around 1-2k. People's with reservation gets the benefits in application fees.
