Remarks
The location of this college, Navi Mumbai, being a metro city provides me with a lot of exposure. Also, D Y Patil is a very renowned university. The faculty of this college is pretty amazing. The studios, interactive sessions ehnaces the learning experience and helping in developing a great personality. Architecture requires alot of exposure, which you surely get in the big cities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Architecture is rather an engaging field. You don't have to read much of books, but it's a more practical and technical oriented field. The faculties in my college are very cooperative. The process of learning is also satisfactory. You also get to learn alot from seniors and you have many competitions to take part in with the seniors to increase your knowledge and experience about the field.
Placement Experience
I'm currently studying in 3rd year. We have internship in our 4th year and we don't have placements as such. I guess we have to approach for the internship according to our convenience and the college doesn't have much to do with it. But I'm not sure as I haven't reached there yet.
College Events
The campus is huge. We have college fests, sports annual celebration. Also a vertical studio which is basically a design competition withing the college, in which you participate in teams. The team comprises of students from all the years. So for the juniors it's a great time to learn. We celebrate many festivals in the college premises, like dahi handi, holi, navaratri, etc. It's really fun to be a part of this college.
