Remarks

This college is near to my area and it is one of the 2 college in my district that offers B.Pharm course. This college is situated in Madayipara which is one of the tourist attraction in our area. There would be no disturbance of the vehicles noise and horn sounds as the college is away from town.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.Pharm is a 4 year course and the exams were conducted yearly till 2016 batch. From 2017, the semester system was adopted and there is total of 8 semesters. The syllabus was of the same but there is a slight difference compared to previous years. Some subjects would also have Practicals. The senior faculties and some junior facilities teaches better. Almost every senior faculties were good. The college doesn't provide industrial exposure as only a few students are willing to go to industries.

Placement Experience

The job for pharmacist is not up to date in our area. The graduated students mainly work in a clinical pharmacy for 2 years for getting experience. Some graduates also have opted for hospital pharmacy. The salary scale is very less for starters. Government jobs are also available, but it would be hard to crack for many

College Events

Our college have a good taste for extra curricular activities. The college have a seperate auditorium with stage and the auditorium can hold more than 600 person. Festivals like Onam and Christmas is grandly celebrated. Our college also conducts Arts day, College day and sports. Every Arts day have been a tough competition so far.

Campus Life

Our college have a large library with variety of books related to pharmacy. The college doesn't have a sports ground but have a few indoor sports items like carroms. Our college also have enough lab facilities that is required for every students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Data Science is a rising field in computer science. It has lots of oppurtunities in todays world and easy compared to other fields, which made me choose data science. The curriculum consist of various computer programming languages including Python, R and so on which are vital in the field of data science. There are also experienced faculties for teaching of the programming languages. I personally felt that lab hours are not adequate and also the available hours are also not properly utitlised by some teachers. At the end of each semester we have exams and results are published soon as the exams are over, no lagging compared to other universitites.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

The course doesn't require any entrance exam. Eligibility is to pass plus two in science with min. of 50%. Application is through Akshaya centres. The application fee is about Rs100. Crescent college is one of the best college in Kannur that provides the course B.pharm. They also provide other pharmacy courses like D.pharm and Pharm.D.
