The college management is very good.

Entrance Preview

I took JEE 2015 air 1626. I came to know about this college from my friends and then I researched it and was stunned after finding that it is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Asia. The location is awesome.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is quite balanced. There are the typical engineering courses along with the modern Management Courses. The faculty is also quite good.

Internships Opportunities

For the core engineering branches like Electrical or Civil, you will get ample internship opportunities. The general stipend is like Rs 10000 a month. You can anytime apply for offline internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

Placements are very good. The placement season starts on December 1. Almost 80% of the batch gets placed with a decent average package like 8.5 Lakhs year.

College Events

There are many events like Thomso(Cultural Fest), Cognizance(Technical Fest), Sangram(Sports Fest), and so on. The participation is also very good. A decent crowd from nearby Dehradun colleges actively participates in the fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. As it is a government college the fee structure is very feasible. My fee for 1 semester was like Rs 47500. It included the Mess and the Hostel Fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

All the major banks provide Education loans for all of the IITs. The rate of interest for these loans is also very feasible.

Campus Life

IIT Roorkee has one of the best sports facilities across the country. The labs are also equipped with all the modern equipments. There are many groups for activities like Debating,Robotics etc.

Hostel Facilities

There are 10 boys hostels and 3 girls hostels. All of these are equipped with all the necessary amenities.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very strong as the institute has a vast history. Many alumni hold key positions in the leading companies. Intracity alumni meet are also held regularly.

Exam Structure

There are 2 main examinations in a semester. There is the Mid-Term Examination and the End Term Examination.

My college review

Placement Experience:

Stuiarw eligible for placement from 6th semester . There are so many companies visited such as wipro, Deloitte, hcl, tech Mahindra, TCS, and many more. Highest package of BTech is 1.24 cr and average package is 40000. Percentage of students get placed is 60%. My plan after degree is to get an good it job.

GEU is an adventure!

Placement Experience:

Room for placements can't be better than GEU. As our department which isn't much in demand and still over 80% of placements rate itself is a story worth telling. I am so glad that it is happening and this is the reason I feel so good studying here as I can't do more as placements care are taken by the university very well.

GEU is super amazing!

Placement Experience:

It's in the final year as once the final year begins, students are asked to pull their socks up and go limitless as nearly 100 or rather much more are there at the campus and interest in CSE students is the highest. Also, there's a large section of IT students who are placed from GEU every year and that too without much of an effort.

Versatile college with good RoI

Placement Experience:

One of the best thing I saw here is placement. If a student is willing to do job then this college is appropriate place from him or her.. Students are placed in IT , SALES , FINANCE, EDTECH , TRANSPORT, DRUGS , etc Students are eligible for jobs and placed from the beginning of pre final semester and can apply in each and every company as per required skills. Not big tech Faang companies visit the campus but a decent level IT companies and limited visit the campus. And conduct their interviews and exams process. Although interview rounds are tough and offcourse nail biting competition among the students. The highest package this year till now 34 LPA by an American MNC . Average package is 550000. Approximately 90 percent students got placed in different domains and fields. My plans are so clear. I will take the job first in IT companies and get some experience on ground level and will grow further.

GEU is a world class place to study!

Placement Experience:

Pringle, The Sleep Co, Lenskart, Luscious, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Google, Facebook and every tech company which potentially can come have come to our college for placements. On and average placements worth 6-40 LPA are common. Since some students miss out so on a whole the placements average stands a little below 10 LPA.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. IIT ROORKEE in a nut-shell

IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
