Remarks

Overall the College gave good experience which helped to overall groom the personality and develop professional acumen. And it offered almost a good eco system.

Entrance Preview

I took IBSAT -86 percentile. I opted for ICFAI BUSINESS SCHOOl as it is one of the recognized B-schools of India. It is also know good placement opportunities overall 95% students per batch getting placed and good pool of peers from various parts of the country.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Overall good course focused on case study based methodology and variety of electives covering all the major aspects to meet of the requirements of MNC culture. Also covering all the major electives such as Finance,Marketing,Human Resources and Operations. Which gives students various option to decide the electives based on the career path on wants opt for.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provided the internship. Mostly there were no stipend but some Companies like DeShaw and JP Morgan offered good Stipend. Overall Internship experience was ok.

Placement Experience

4

Many well known Companies came to campus such as ICICI Bank,HDFC Bank,Karur Vysya Bank,Citi Bank,JP Morgan & chase,DeShaw,Bank of America,E&Y, HUL,IGate,IFlex,TCS, Crisil,Wipro,HDFC life ,ICICI Lombard,Ford ,South Indian Bank and many others average package was around 5.5 lacs- 6 Lacs and out of the batch of around 1000 students approx 826 students got placed.

College Events

4.5

Since the students were in big number i.e arnd 1000 students a batch and with campus of around 3000 students combining all the streams and course there were lot of student activities. Also being a residential program and students from across India various Cultural Festivals were celebrated with great enthusiasm. Moreover the College also promoted Various Management Festivals which was solely managed by Students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees was on little higher the total fees with accommodation Hostel and mess facilities summed up to Rs 12 lacs approx. Such fees were a burden to few students and all the fees were same for all there were no reservations or qouta or special fee structure for any reserved category students to the best of my knowledge fees were to be paid on annual basis.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship was given to only handful of students may 10 students max. Loan options were also provided by the College.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender Ratio was almost equal and headed to headed. There were various Extracurricular Activities which gave students from different streams and courses, divisions to gel up. There was no gender discrimination and there no intolerance overall the campus was at peace of course there were few ruckus and fights but which was not frequent.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Single occupant rooms were allocated to all the students and overall the hostels were well maintained and daily and regular cleaning activities were carried out and the fees was inclusive of hostel fees. Mess food was overall Hygienic. Though at times the food was monotonous. Also there Food festivals every month which was well anticipated by students at large.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni and senior students helped a lot and guided through the entire program. Also there were various students clubs based on the liking of Subject there clubs managed by senior students for Finance there was a finance Club similarly the same was for the other subjects. Also there are regular alumni meets and also Alumni keep on helping for placement opportunity.

Exam Structure

The Exams were not very frequent but the 70 % assessment was from the class participation, grades were given by the faculties based the participation on discussion on case studies and hence daily preparation was must. Rest 30 % of assessment where divided into 20%-10%. 10% was from class room test and rest 20 % was from Semester end exams And usually it was that Chilled out.

Faculty

4.5

Very expertise faculties having sounds subject knowledge and Industry experience. Also the approach of faculty was very professional and mostly all the faculties were easily accessible post lectures also. And also were quite helpful during the internship. Also helped a lot to select electives and motivated a lot.
