Remarks

I've been passionate about energy for a quite a lot of time in my school days. Mechanical engineering is the core engineering course while handles deeper grounds when it comes to energy. My college was the best one that I could get for my cutoff in 2019 TNEA counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

My college is an old fashioned one. One can find third grade practices among faculties. But few gems are here and there. No student is treated with dignity or basic respect. Everything will be restricted. Especially mechanical engineering department has very irrational and crucial faculties except those who handle fluid - thermal domain. One can see very useless and unbearable placement norms and conditions being practiced. In my college, every student is addressed with a basic assumption that he's a criminal or culprit. Also, communication between opposite gender is seen very seriously as if it is a heinous crime and will be treated so. Lot of stupidity happening in the name of reputation of the college can be seen. I would not refer my college for those who are sensitive because my college will turn them into unsociable introverts. I'm one because of my college. It will inject the very feeling of insecurity in your bloodstream.

Internships Opportunities

I got an opportunity to take an internship in Zoho Corporation, Chennai. The stipend was 15000. The process was similar to that of a placement to get that internship.

Placement Experience

2

Mostly all service based IT companies visit our college. They'll offer the usual software engineer roles. Also some good electronics, networking and mechanical core companies will be calling for pooled campus interview to other colleges. Our college poses the same iron fist approach in the placements also. They'll never fail to show their stupidity in every thing that they enter into. They'll have useless irrational placement norms and rules.

College Events

0.5

Inter-college and intra-college Technical and cultural fests are conducted regularly. Also, extracurricular and co-curricular clubs and societies conduct events regularly but students go rarely to such events as they are all in a restricted environment throughout a day. They will not be ready to go to an event which is conducted post regular session after a mentally exhaustive day.

Fees and Financial Aid

I was given with a tuition fee waiver by AICTE. I had no other scholarships availed. But the management used to give scholarships to people who excell in academics when they also managed to maintain their stupid discipline rating as per stupid college rules.

Campus Life

Wi-Fi in hostels are available hardly a couple of hours a day. I've seen people who are good in sports getting good support and recognition, especially in cricket. One can find quite a good volume of books in the college library where people rarely go. Also, laboratory infrastructure are quite good.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels will be also as restriicted as the college is. Infrastructure will be OK. But they will have stupid, insane, ridiculous and useless conditions and rules. You'll hardly get a couple of hours of Wi-Fi. Annual charges including mess was 60000 for me.

Placement Experience:

My course is a five year course, so it had around 9 to 10 semesters as the first year had no semester. It was a non-semester. So first year had only one semester exam followed by all the other semesters other years at two semesters. From fifth year, students are eligible for campus placements During Covid time, our campus, Placement happened so companies visited are Shlok labs, some assignment writing company which is already closed now and some other start-ups which are not very famous and offer made us around 10,000 per month Highest package received is around 3.5,00,000 per year percentage of students getting Placement is very less only 30 to 40 percentage not even that much. I can say if we apply any companies directly, we will be placed but not through college and especially this course, but other courses are having very good opportunities. As this course recruiters will say it is over qualified.

As for placements, the students are eligible from the beginning of third year (5th semester). Our college have tied hands wuth some good companies like TCS, UST, CTS, Infosys, Zoho, Wipro and many more. The average package is 6LPA and the highest is 30LPA. 90% of the students gets placed in our college each year. I'm confident that before getting my degree I'll get placed so after getting my degree I'll jiust continue to work for a year and after that i have many other plans which isn't related any of the IT department or software.

Placements are very mediocre. Few companies like Zoho, Agarwal, Etc visit for campus interviews but they offer less package. As for my knowledge maybe 2-5% get placed. I plan to practice as an advoca after graduating.
