Mohit's Review On Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College -[NLC], Pune

My concluding statement about my college would be that it has been a nice experience these past 4 years. I really am glad to have gotten a chance to stay in a great city like Pune. The college management tries its best to help the students with their work but i hope they do more for the future students as well like taking more initiative in Sports and extra-curricular.

I only took the CET(Common Entrance Test) for my college. I secured 95 rank. Upon the results, we were supposed to reach the college and fill out the admission process. No such interview was taken.

The course structure is quite relevant to the subject. The faculty is a highly educated team of teachers including both permanent and visiting faculty. However, the standard of teaching could be improved as the other law school courses teach the students in 2nd-3rd year what they teach us in the 4th year.

Yes my college does have a internship and placement cell. Many companies such as Delloitte, Marie, Britannia etc came. Being a law firm, it mainly attracts law firms such as Kochhar & co., Vaish associates, Dua Associates, etc.

The overall placement is average haven't heard of many people getting placed through college. As far as know, it is not very active. However, since last year the principal has shown interest in he placement cell and things have started to look good since.

Our college hosts about 3 major events each yeat. First is the P.N Bhagwati International Moot Court Competiton on Human Rights. Second is Surana & Surana Moot Court and thirdlt, its our annual cultural fest, Abhinay. In each event, a minimum of 10-14 colleges participate.

When i took admission in the college, the fees was 40K per annum per student for my course. It increased to 50K the next year. Currently its 75K for each student. I don't stay in an hostel but having heard about it from my friends, it looks decent enough. Each room accommodates 4 students with each floor having common toilets.

No. I have not heard about any kinds of loans of scholarships awarded by my college to any student yet. Although, i might have to check about it with my principal.

The gender ratio is just fine in our college. Not too many boys nor girls :POur college also has affiliation with foreign universities and therefore we have many international students in our college as well. No such discrimination is made among the students regarding race, religion, sexual orientation, economic status, etc. Sometimes i feel the college administration is a bit more lenient with the females as they don't attend classes or give internals but still somehow manage to score more than the regular students.

The seniors were great with me because a few of them were from my school. it helped me interact with other seniors and it was a lot of fun to hang out with them in the initial years. They helped me in college and outside it as well.

The curriculum is average too. It's not very hectic as by mid-day, our college gets over. So the student have the whole day to rest and do their work and college work too. The exams on the other hand get quite hectic as the prep leaves given vary each semester. Eg. 15 day to 30 days alternate semester
