Excellent Placements, Satisfactory academic environment, a rapidly improving infrastructure. NIT Jamshedpur has good placement for all the undergraduate courses available in the institution. Campus is a homeground to a some of the brightest minds in the country because of the rigorous selection process of JEE Main. The institution is well connected through roadways and railways to major areas of Jamshedpur.

NIT Jamshedpur has many qualified faculty members with postgraduate and postdoctoral degrees from elite institutions and several years of teaching experience. For the temporary faculty members, the institution has high bar for them to be considered for permanent posts in the institution. This ensures quality in teaching. Course Curriculum undergoes periodic revisions as per the latest developments. Traditional teaching methods are still prevalant. A bit downside in this aspect is a really laid back attitude towards research work and academic proficiency in the institution.

NIT Jamshedpur has good placement for all the undergraduate courses available in the institution. As per the statistics, around 86% of the entire strength of the undergraduate batch of 2014-2018 was placed by the end of the placement season. The placements in core branches is positively influenced owing to the presence of a large industrial belt of TATANAGAR which provides a lot of industrial exposure to students. NIT Jamshedpur witnesses a multitude of events throughout the academic session. The institution is a host to two fests namely CULFEST, which is a cultural fest organised in the month of February and OJASS, which a the technical fest organised in the month of March, and is also the second the largest tech fest in eastern India.

Infrastructure is one aspect in which NIT Jamshedpur lags behind. Though the two newly constructed hostels are very well planned, the academic building of the institution is in dire need of renovation. But, the new academic building is under construction and is hopefully going to be a well planned one. Wi-Fi and LAN facility are available in all the hostels. To sum up, infrastructure, as of now, is a bit dissaponting but is improving at a fast pace. A great infrastructure awaits the institution.
