Shashwat Sharma's Review On National Institute Of Technology - [NIT], Jamshedpur

It is like a dream come true to study in college of national importance. I choose this college as it is very closer to my home and the nirf ranking of the college is decent.The best part of the college is that it has a decent placements.

Every 2nd teacher of NIT Jamshedpur qualified PhD from IIT. Their teaching skills are awesome, and they explain everything and help students at the individual level. The student to faculty ratio is 60:1. In our college, the administration arranges the industrial visits for every 3 months. For example, in the last semester, we visited Tata Steel Plant in which we studied about continues casting. Classes are held from 8 am to 5 pm, including labs and tutorials classes. The way in which teachers teach by following you can compete and engaging completion.

The highest stipend offered in internships is Rs. 25,000 per month with accommodation in Tata Steel and Rs. 20,000 per month in Tata motors this year. Toppr provided internships to 20 students, including 2nd and 3rd-year students.

The college organises technical fest called Ojass and culture fest named Culfest. Many clubs are available in our college. Daksh baja racing, drift racing team, phoenix, ray's, and revanta are the technical teams, which make automobile vehicles. Team Rooh, LDS, Faces, NSS, Sankalp (poor children are taught by NIT students) and Urja sports fest are conducted in our college. Branch societies are also available like mechanical engineering society, civil engineering society, etc.

No I haven't take any scholarship.but for Sc st candidates there is ekalyan-scholarship in which government provide 50000 per year for the students if their income is less than 2 lac. there is also scholarship from tata Cummins. This scholarship is for the meritorious students.

The infrastructure of academic buildings is not very good because the college is very old, established in 1960. Maybe by the end of this year, new academic building gets ready with smart classrooms and air-conditioning facilities. Labs are in good condition.

Food available in the canteen is good. Hostels are also in good condition, and for the 1st-year students, double sharing rooms are available. After that, single rooms are available for every student. Hostel K and hostel J look like 3-star hotels. LAN is available in the hostel from 5 pm to 8 am, and there will be 24x7 illumination. Hostel life in J and K is awesome.
