College of engineering and technology Akola is best engineering college in Akola district. Many facilities are provided by the college for the students. Faculties are also much concerned with studies.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum designed is great. The teachers of our mechanical branches are great. All of our teachers either completed their PhDs or are pursuing it. They were knowledgeable, and they mostly used the whiteboard technique to explain. Some of them use PPTs. The faculty to student ratio is decent.
Placement Experience
The college offers placement opportunities in local companies or companies within Maharashtra but not MNCs. But the college posts the information on its notice board if there is an open pool placement drive. Campus drives are being organised in the colleges nearby. Overall, the placements are average, especially for our branch.
College Events
Many educational events like Technothlon, Robotics, and quiz competitions are often organised on the campus. A cultural fest named Shivgandha is also organised here. The campus is also quite big. Even sports activities are given great importance here.
Fees and Financial Aid
As usual scolarships are provided on the basis of Category. Education loan facilities are given by the colleges.
Campus Life
Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, a library, sports facilities, and an auditorium hall are available on the campus. Our labs are updated and good. Our canteen is average, and the canteen manager is changed frequently. Hostel rooms were the worst, and they are very unclean. The college also has a lawn at the entrance which gives a great and positive vibe. There is an ample amount of parking space available here.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are not provided by the College. Students either are proper residents of Akola or live in rental rooms. Rents are according to the rooms from 3000 to 5000. For meals we have to pay rs. 1800.
