Overall college is quite good. Not a hype but it is the beat college for engineering in marathwada and one of the best in maharshtra

Course Curriculum Overview

Yes, the college is autonomous and thus the curriculum is industry based as more changes can be easily made to curriculum due to the autonomous status. Professional and Optional subjects are in tje curriculum so as to make the better professional out of the student on his or her own choices and strenghts or weaknesses

Placement Experience

Placements have been moderate these years. However these trenda are seen everywhere. Some 2 3 years back everyone who opted for placement from our department were able to grab a job. 3rd year students get exvlusive internship opportu ities throigh college in some companies where they stand a chance to get it conerted to job offer. Quite many students got their jobs through this offer.

College Events

College has a National level technical event named Wings and for cultural we have Antarang which is annual gathering event lasting 3 days while 5 days prior are also dedicated to some group events. Overall events go on throughout the year and the college if rated must get a 9 out of 10

Fee Structure And Facilities

As a Government college fee is bit low as follows 72000 for open versus 110000 in other private colleges Obc students need to pay 29814 Rs And SC ST have to pay 200 Rs So overall its a very good fee structure if we ignore the disparity among the various sections.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I had not apploed for any loan. But the college is too much supportive to economically weaker students. The alumni association of the college gives scholarships to such students of Rs 24000 per annum which surely is good enough to handle our expenses.

Campus Life

Campus life is good. Gender ratio is also good as many girls are in the merit list amd the college attracts most brilliant students from the area or even remote parts of Maharashtra. Speaking of Extra Curricular Activities then they are full throughout the academic calender. The college has Robocon and Baja teams. Also we have a team working on Astronomy and Satellite Development. Cultural teams participating in Firodiya and Purushottam Karandaks are alos excellent.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, and pobablu the cheapest hostel in any engineering college is what we have got. There used to be certain issues of water scarcity but are fully solved and also we are having hot water facility anytime even when we pay so low. Cleanliness is quite good.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah, we have the most helpful Alumni network than any other college probably has. They help in getting internships to us while also contributing to scholarships given to economically weaker students.

Admission

Got admission through Maharshtra State CET exam. DTE monitored the admission process via CAP rounds. Usually results of the exam are out in June and process starts with the next week only. First we have to register for the stream in which we want to take admissions like engineering or medical or architecture etc. Once registered documents are verified and we have to take them manually to the ARC(Admission reporting Centre). Then CAP round 1 is out and we get colleges according to our preferences filled out while filling the stream form and the merit of ours in the exam.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is the most learned ones. PhD from IITs and NITs are the professors that we learn from. Obviously they are the best in the whole marathwada region. The college has TEQIP program funded by World Bank and the teaching materials we got are world class. We have Flip TVs on which we learn in classooms

Honest review if you wanna opt for this college

Likes

The girls to boy ratios is good, we get to see all girls equal contributing in the college
The faculty is good, they are very helpful and give good guidance
The boys and girls common room is good to get together with friends to chill and study

Dislikes

Faculty being good they are sassy and might ignore for a time to teach you that not everything will be entertained
The principal is kinda rude and his speech is too long
Well other activities like sports isn't support properly

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem students are eligible for placement Companies visited are tcs and few others i don't remember their names The average package is 5 lpa and the highest is 13 lpa Mostly 80-90% of students gets placement as they do a placement training for us amd prepares us for the placement exams and interviews and all My personal plan is to go abroad for higher studies but i am going to sit for placement if i get good package then i might not go to abroad for higher studies

Likes

The campus of the college is vast with a natural environment
Many facilities like library, sophisticated labs, and classrooms are provided by the college
The Teachers cover each and every point of the syllabus and guide the students.

Dislikes

The syllabus is a little bit outdated, that is some points in the syllabus may seems boring and not applicable in the real world.
The Teachers should use the right techniques for teaching which makes the students more engaging in the class.
The menu of the canteen must contain some health option in a budget friendly way.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

I really liked the infrastructure of the college its very nice and has good environment .
DPCOE is famous for its sports , it has massive turf where kids of 4 to 5 age has their matches
Also i like my department , as i am an automobile engineering we need most practical knowledge , this college offers a big workshop just for us an also yearly event for automobile students . Also clubs are there which has reputation of national rank

Dislikes

I kind of felt that faculty can be biased sometimes also do not care what and how we want to study .
Watchman can be little rude sometimes , also informing that their are exam coming in next week are to be informed at leat 10 days before. I have a suggestion of preparing acadamic calender of year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

College campus, it is big, not much conjusted, good nature friendly
Freedom upto some level, no uniforms, no ID compulsion unless it is an exam
Events,every now and then there are events in college, cultural club is also too good here👍

Dislikes

Faculty is not much well qualified or well trained I would say
Hectic curriculum, boring schedules and quite unlivable
Labs and classrooms are too old, infrastructure is very old

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student,and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.

Campus is huge but is mostly empty need of development.
Need of infrastructure and sports facility for students.

Placement Experience:

I talk with most of the senior and faculty and placement cell start of 3 rd year you will get internship opportunities and and in 4 th year you will get placement opportunity. But senior told me off campus placement preparation must be go on you will find good opportunity. Highest package is 12 lpa and average is 4 lpa is good for freshers.

I like my college building,classes,labs.
Canteen is good.it provides good quality food.
Library is best. Very nice management and staff

Dislikes

Canteen is good but they must increase their staff.
Class should be sound proof.noice from outside disturbs.
Stationary staff should be increased and price should be decreased.

Placement Experience:

From sem 7 students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Accenture,Wipro, Microsoft, HyperVerge have visited college. In 2020 highest package was 30 lac per annum by Amazon. Last year only 40% students got the placement. I am planning for competitive exams after degree.

Some departments here were really great like ETC and Mechanical with a unique culture going on
AIML and AIDS being new branches here are still doing their job very well for the students

Dislikes

The Students section not really tends to help ,as i saw many financially weak students facing the problem of 1 time payment fees and their request for part payments option is always rejected
Infrastructure is decent but in summer season the water coolers are just useless there ,no cooler will give you cold water

Some courses were to the point like IOT was well designed and DSA too with java programming side by side ,still as i said AIML is new branch and needs much enhancements ,the areas where they can improve was always practicals and labs those were always taken casual as i remember

Hello, The infrastructure of the college is top class.
Their are multiple events in the college every month.
The faculty of the college are also well experienced as well as very friendly.

Dislikes

There are no AC in all the class only some of the class have AC

Placement Experience:

The placement percentage in my college is nearly 70-80%. The minimum package offered is 2.5 LPA and the highest is nearly 33 LPA . The average package is 4-5 LPA. Many companies vists are college as our college is NAAC accredited which has a grade of A+.

Watch out before stepping in.

One has to take JEE or CET(PCM) and score good marks. For you to get admission through cap round. First sort good college and then add numbering to it from best to worst college and if you get good college then freeze it and in second cap round look for another college but you gets a better one it's good if not then the freeze one is still there for you...Read More
