Budding Architect

I did my nata entrance and scored eligible marks for counselling. Though i prefer Coimbatore, my first choice was svs school of architecture. Here they provided best infrastructure and studios with properly maintained workshops. I also get exposure to Architects works by site visits and case studies offered by college. Admission process is just simple through anna university counselling. These made me prefer this college.

I have interest in buildings and process of construction from my childhood. So the prefect course to pursue my designing dream is architecture. In my college there is one faculty for every 20 students. Faculty offers both theoretical and practical training and they all are post graduates. Every month there is a level exam and semester every six month once. It's easy to pass if we listen and apply the knowledge taught during exams. Those workshops in college offer practical possibility of materials and easily understandable process.

I did my internship in Rva architecture and Rd associates where i get to know the beauty of practical architecture and how each design is being executed with Architects taste and clients requirements. Both the firms gave me stipend during my internship. My task is to provide schematic drawings for design concept of residential and commercial projects and to provide detail drawing for goof to construction process. This year gives you a idea how all architecture process will be about and how to deal with it.

Fourth year of architecture course is completely for internship in architectural firms around the world. This offers how practically the practice of Architects helps in construction. Thus we have some limited campus interviews after final year with some good salary packages. Architecture is a professional course which we can start a firm after getting a licence from central authority and also work as a junior in any firm all over the world. Every one of us get placed with our own involvement in getting knowledge. Starting packages of around two lakhs per annum.

There are some fees structure rules by anna university, where my college offer the same for merit students. There are some extra fees for management students. We have periodic workshops and case studies which have separate costs. All scholarship offered by government are applicable here. This five year course is included with one year of internship for practical training in architecture where we also get stipend according to the firm we work during the internship. Architecture is a professional course the process of getting job is according to the knowledge and skills we get in college.

We have symposiums hosted yourself within our college and with other colleges. Through which we have interaction and able to get the exposure what they get in their college through collaborations. Our library is integrated with digital books and journals and also most important hard copies of books which is helpful for our research and studies. Our studio classrooms comprises of display area and a teaching area by which we are able to showcase our works to fellow students and able to understand the design process in a easy and good manner. There are social groups for which we are able to mingle with all year students for better learning.
