Remarks
I had selected Hinduja College in my third year of my course I wanted to change to a better college so this college was it, I had tried earlier after FY exams but couldn't secure a seat here. I will list the pros and cons of this college. Pros: The teaching faculty is excellent even the visiting faculty is very much helpful and friendly with the students. The infrastructure is a bit okay but hey all rooms are air conditioned. College has Tedx Hinduja events every year where famous and prominent guests are invited. It also has annual college festivals and other such events. Cons: The college has no compound it's like a building No cafeteria but you have a lot of options right outside the college. I had applied for this college after giving my final exams of SY in May and secured a seat in June it was not an online but an offline process during my time. My friends to have changed from my previous college to Hinduja.
Course Curriculum Overview
I selected BMM because I wanted to make my career in advertising as I also have a creative mind. The faculty student ratio will be 10:3, each teacher in our department had completed Masters and some even did PhD so they were very qualified in what they were teaching to their students. We didn't have any college conducted exams our exams were conducted by the university but our junior batch had a college exams because rules changed they were given ample amount of time to study for the subjects and the exam level was moderate difficulty teachers there grade you the same way a university teacher would.
Internships Opportunities
The college also offers internships one such company was Popshot which was an app start up it provide stipend too they were looking for people who would want to work in the creative and digital department of the company. 2 students were selected and they had a very nice experience working with the company and will continue after completing their degree too in the same company. I myself was not doing any internship because the amount of internships I did in the past was enough experience.
Placement Experience
From the first semester itself you have the opportunity to apply for internships through in college placement cell they post up the requirements on the notice board and from there you can contact the employer, one of the famous companies was Jio and TCS I don't plan to work in IT company so I have no interest in it I am going to do Masters after completing my degree. The average package was 1 lac CTA
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is somewhat same it will just differ for few thousands there are quotas available too and scholarship and financial assistance too is available there has been no major hike in fees since 3 years the books for my course are not very expensive. The college also has job assistance cell and the students organize job fair once a year.
Campus Life
The Annual college festival is Pannah which happens on a very big scale all departments organize the festival and conduct an inter college competition too. The library in the college is also very big I could find majority of the books I needed and it also has an online portal to search for the book you want. There are many extra curricular activities such as football and indoor games a Gymkhana too is provided. The college also features a Rotaract Club and NSS units. The classroom too I said are good only the benches can be a bit uncomfortable at first but you get to used to it and won't have any trouble also the class is air conditioned
