Remarks

Placement structure strictly needs to be improved. Need to bring many of the mid scale companies for placement. There should not be multiple groups in students they all should be in a single group.

Entrance Preview

Not a common entrance test for a bunch of colleges. It was an separate entrance exam. I had two options first was MCA else M.Sc(CS). MCA was a 3 year course with repeated subjects for 1st year while MSc(CS) was a 2 year course with some new subjects. There was an entrance exam to clear. All those who cleared the exam were called to get admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course offered the subjects which were not much helpful in the jobs we are doing today.

Internships Opportunities

I got an internship offer from a company which started giving me stipend from 2nd month. I was not allowed to attend the aptitudes of some companies as they had a criteria of 60% and above in all academic years.The big names were Persistent, Quick Heal, Symantec.

Placement Experience

The placement is below average. Some big companies were Persistent, Quick Heal, Symantec etc.

College Events

Some of the technical seminars were held related to ethical hacking etc. They were informative.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I do not know much about hostels there. I can't comment on them. They did not charged a very huge amount in the name of fees. It was an average amount and the total course fee for me was in the house of thousands. Again for the mess food i cannot comment as i have not tasted it but the food available in canteen was good.

Fees and Financial Aid

I guess no college has a tie up with any specific bank for educational loan. It depends on us where do we get a good educational loan on less interest rate.

Campus Life

Campus life was not that great. There were mostly equal number of males and females. Some seminars were arranged on the technical things which were informative. Cricket matches were also arranged.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students did share some of there experiences which were somewhat helpful. But at the end of the day you have to learn from your own experiences.

Faculty

The faculty was helpful. Teaching was not done just as a duty.

From which semester students become maximum students are placement.company name I don't know I no experience , highest package is 15LPA and average is 5 to 6LPA , then percentage of placements students is 50% to 60%percentage students are playes.

The best place to get admission

Placement Experience:

Students who completed their masters are eligible for placements. Companies include Pharma, Biotech, R&d, agri companies, food industries, we can apply there. Well from 3rd semester students can apply and visit different companies previously, haidrabad, banglore are visited by our seniors. Students get salary of 30000-40000 ,there are students selected for multiple high rated companies. 30-40% Students get placed. I want to pursue Phd from India as I am more focus in research.

Life at fergusson

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd semester. I am going to start the process now from june. The companies such as springCT, Josh, Omniscient, Bluepineapple,etc. come for campus placements. Some companies make offers in lot or some lpick only 2/3. Almost all students get internships. In 4th semester we have to do internship compulsory. Average package is 7lpa if its a job offer if its an internship the it is lesser.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course this very high on demand and i know about these course very well and i have interest in these course. Teacher prepare me for the real world for the special application of practical and internship provided in college for getting experience of that course. There should be have extra classes before the exam. Exam timings are very challenging you have to be present in exam on time. And aslo you should be able to manage the time as per the questions. The timing of approx each paper is 2.30 hours to complete the paper

A campus life you must live once in your life - Fergusson College

Placement Experience:

Placements in Fergusson are pretty good. Students are eligible for sitting in the placement drives from the 3rd semester, we also get Pre-placment activities and tests before the drive starts. We get companies like Axtria, Vois , bluepineapple etc on campus. The highest package is 10 - 12 lakhs and 4-6 lakhs on an average. In my batch out of the 30 people we 20 are placed so far on campus.

Placement Experience:

After the last semester's exams, students are eligible to face campus placements and go to jobs. Vsi sugar factory, Carlsberg, United Breweries, Beverage companies and many sugar factories come for interviews or jobs. They offer various roles for a career. The highest package offered by companies is about ten lakhs. The average package is near 5 lakhs. Near 90% percentage students got placement in college. I'm going for further studies in Banglore with a part-time job in a brewery.

Placement Experience:

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.

PG not given any campus you will get a job on your ability. We have to prepare for set net after MSc but there are some companies visited college like Wipro. They provide job but the salary is around 25000 per month.
