Remarks

It is a good college. Presently they had developed more as an organization.

Course Curriculum Overview

In the beginning we had only theory classes, later we were involve more in the practical classes which helped us to learn easy and quick. New techniques were also taught to us in the practical sessions. We had Industrial visits, which gave good knowledge about the products in the market.

Placement Experience

1.5

There was no placement program in our college. We had no internships. We had only training for 15 days on various techniques.

College Events

3

Each year we conducted three days events in which students from other colleges will participate. Everyone will submit and present their works related to the subjects each year. We had cultural festival which will take place in the month of February. It will be celebrated for three days in which students from other state colleges will also participate. Apart from these we will celebrate Pongal and Onam functions in the traditional ways.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was feasible. Mode of payment was either by cash or Cheque. There was no additional fees. The only additional fee we paid was for the transport that too in the final year only. Fee will be collected for the machinery damages, if it caused by us. Yes of course fee-breakdown will clearly mentioned in the receipt.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for any scholarship or educational loan. There was no scholarship opportunities for the students from the college.

Campus Life

Gender 40 :60 (female & male), every year we had sports activities, in which the competition will be held between the juniors and seniors. inter college meets were held to prove the talents. There was no issues or problems to the students based on their race and religion. We all were treated equally and given same values.

Hostel Facilities

There was no college for male students. So I opted for a private hostel. I spent Rs. 2100 every month to have a quality food. for the room it was Rs. 500 and the room will be shared by three persons. apart from these, I use pay for the water and electricity usage.

Alumni/Alumna

Only one alumni meet was conducted, in which everyone shared their struggles to get the job and some shared about their work. It was useful and gave ideas to grow professionally.

Admission

It was a growing and developing department in the science research field. There were more scopes in learning new things both theoretically and practically. Since our batch was the second batch in the college, thought that staffs will put more effect in developing us, so opted this college. based upon the merit marks in my 12th standard, admission was done.

Faculty

4

There were 7 faculties. There age was around 30 and above. Their qualification was M.Sc M.Phil. We had Mr. Shanmugam who was handling biochemistry, he was well expertise in the subject. his classes were more interesting. Another one was Mr. Arun, who was handling plant and animal biology. he was very friendly and his classes were more lively.

There is no relevance with the current industry standards and also i chose this course as i saw potential for development and research in this field with the rapid innovation in the AI field. There is a lot of room for improvement like teaching the current industry practices and it's basics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed and covered both fundamental and advanced concepts. We choose elective papers each sem one paper from third sem. That selection of elective papers made us to do case study of real world exposure and competency. The curriculum prepared us for the reasonable real world applications. Also workshops and internships bridged the gap between industry expectations and academics. The teaching methods are really supportive and knowledgeable. On the whole the curriculum was strong and but needs to be imapctful.

Placement Experience:

From the 4th semester, itselft students get to know about the placement training and pre placements talks were held to students who is interested in the placement. They will undergo aptitude, programming and soft skills training. So the companies visiting our colleges are service-based companies which are accenture , TCS, Deloitte and product based companies such as Zoho hiring for 6-10 LPA. Accenture offers a package of 3.4 LPA where as Fractal Analysis company offers a package of above 10 LPA The placed students in my department is 70% which is a big number if the training is effective there will be more than 80%students will get placed.
