Remarks

Placements are much better than other NITs, also you'll love the college life here.Approximately 95% percent of the students get placed. I chose this course because I wanted to be a software engineer and this was the best college which I was alloted on the basis of my entrance test result

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers not very helpful but you can manage things on your own using YouTube and other sources. The curriculum of the course is much relevant to the industry work especially in the software field. The knowledge of the courses offered here will help you in all the industry related works.

Placement Experience

Approximately 95% percent of the students get placed. The remaining 5% are those who were not eligible (DASA candidates or having numerous backlogs). The highest salary offered was 27 LPA from amazon, the average is around 12-13 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA, I guess. The top recruiters in our campus are Amazon, GE, Samsung R&D. Mostly the companies hire for the role of SDE (Software Development Engineer). The internship season is not over yet but some of the students got internship in Amazon, GE, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs.

College Events

The only thing which could improve is the quality of the faculty members. The cultural fest, Culfest and the technical fest, Ojass are the two prominent fests here and there's festive environment all around during these fests.

Campus Life

All the old buildings are almost renovated and there's also new Academic Building which is going to be inaugurated in January 2020. The facilities are much better as compared to other colleges in terms of labs, library and classrooms. Hostel facilities are also quite decent. You'll get single seater rooms in the mega hostel which are not even provided by some IITs. Mess food is also better when compared to other colleges of the same stature.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

students get placemetns from the 5th semester and are also give training for a month. more company enter my college like tata ,mahindra, honda and etc. if you have good marks in you six semester and you answer the questions correctly , the company may offer you a high package,and you can also demand you package. for mechanical engineers 100%,electrical engineers 75%and other branch68%. i will work in the company after getting the degree

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
