Remarks

Everything on the campus is good in its own way.Placements: Almost 100% of placements are provided here. Nirf ranking is good.Overall, it is a good college with a good crowd.Good facilities are available in our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members in our college are helpful and are PhD holders. They are perfect in their field and are knowledgeable. People here are interested in joining our college because the teaching is good, but only a few talent students get that opportunity to join here. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it is good for the future of India as well as the world.

Placement Experience

The placements situation for the software and circuital branches are very good in NIT Jamshedpur. The top companies which recruit students are qualcomm, tata, microsoft, oyo, setc. Almost all the students get job placements and more than 30% students get Internships. Most of the internships are also paid and if you perform good then you have a chance of getting PPO. The highest package go upto 35-40 LPA. The lowest being around 3.7 LPA. The average is around 4.5 LPA. Top roles offered are manager, assistant manager, software engineer, electronics engineer, production engineer, development engineer etc.

College Events

The cultural fest is called Culfest, Technical fest Ojas and Sports meet called Urja.every branch has their own fest.many students participat in this fests from all over the country. Grand prizes are given to the winners.

Campus Life

Wi-Fi is available, and the classrooms and library are good. Everything on the campus is good. We also have library, which is quite good. Labs are good, but sometimes computers are not working. In hostel day/night canteens are there, and the food served is fine in the mess. Medical facilities are also very good, and sports are awesome

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

students get placemetns from the 5th semester and are also give training for a month. more company enter my college like tata ,mahindra, honda and etc. if you have good marks in you six semester and you answer the questions correctly , the company may offer you a high package,and you can also demand you package. for mechanical engineers 100%,electrical engineers 75%and other branch68%. i will work in the company after getting the degree

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
