Remarks

Government College of Technology is one of the best colleges in Tamilnadu.It is located in Coimbatore. First reason is that I want to experience the Coimbatore atmosphere. Other than that the atmosphere and Relationship between Professors and students is amazing. I want to be different so I chose instrumentation field. I damn sure that you will never get disappointed.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus is updated to 2019. Staffs are well educated staffs. Every semester students allowed to go for a Industrial visit. Facilities are very friendly to the students. Particularly I don't want to mention the names. Each and every staff have their own learning style

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement is very very good in our college. Placement activities started from third year. Notable alumni: Mayilsami AnnaduraiStart-ups are in initial stage.Companies visited:TCSHCLINFOSYSZOHOROBERT BOSCH

College Events

It is dream come true feel for me. Really I enjoyed each and every day of my college life. Cultural programs conducted in every semester. Two intra level symposium conducted in one year. Students are not only good at study. Our college Villupatu team won first prize in NIT college Symposium. So many more awards in our Cabinet. There are many groups like Theru koothu, Villupatu, Parai and etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Government scholarship provided throughout four years. Our college Alumni association also provides scholarships for students who are suffering due to financial issues. Our Passed out students doing various helps to our students in Financial and Studies also.

Campus Life

Full and full support for sports activities.Sports day conducted every year for both staffs and students.Digital library ( 9 AM- 4PM)Lab facilities are very good.Third biggest Workshop is in our college ( Coimbatore)Free WiFi available in whole college.

Hostel Facilities

There are many rooms available. 3 students are allowed per room. This is the lowest hostel fee in Tamilnadu. You can Google it. Hostel fee is Six thousand per year. Mess fee is 2000 per year. Free WiFi is available in hostels also.

In vlb Janakiammal college of arts and science kovaipudhur coimbatore ,i dont know much about the placements but there are so much placements for everyone the placement success rate is almost 98 persent

Likes

They allow all cultural events.They also conduct events in the college

Dislikes

They increase penalty if students dont pay the sem fees on time then they also increase the exam fees from sem to sem

My aim is to go cinema field.So,only I choose visual communication.After choosing visual communication only i can understood the real world is so different I can't get it anything easy I want to work hard to get the position I want to be.

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

Experienced faculties, their constant encouragement to students to participate in seminars, lectures, internships, intercollegiate programs and other research based conferences and activities.
The college had good infrastructure, modern laboratories, smart classrooms, sports facilities and a slate clean campus.
The placement cell, incubation cell, and intellectual property cell of our college are easily approachable and they help in developing our ideas, patenting and registering them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum covers important subjects such as cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, bio processing, principles of chemical engineering, and wr have hands on practice through pur well-equipped laboratory sessions.

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

I like the MBA to learn about the marketing domain and gather the proper information. And I planned to do the course in the KVIM and they used the digital methods to the course and the give the proper content to succeed the course

My great experience in HIMT

Likes

all staffs are we experienced in their field and good in explaining, very friendly
hostel is well maintained and college is always clean
everything works in college based upon the review system. so any issues will resolve quickly

Placement Experience:

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

Admission:

I got admission in this college via counselling. I had PCB in 10+2 and gave NEET which a national entrance test exam to get admission into medical courses. The scores obtained in entrance exam matters a lot in deciding the merit.
