Remarks

Absolutely fine for placements. The campus life, fests and hostel facility are good.and most importantly this college is closer to my home.Almost 4500 students are there and college provides scholarship for economically backward students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good as all are qualified. The course curriculum is absolutely relevant. The students are ready for the jobs and industry the next minute of pass-out. The available Head of the departments are really helpful.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 204000 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

nearly 90 percent of students are placed every year. The highest is 48 lakh per annum and the least is 3.5 crore per annum and Average is 6.8 crore per annum. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, L&T, Vedantu etc. 60-70% of students got internship from my course and in Tata Steel, Jindal Steel companies. Top Roles offered are Metallurgical Engineer, BIS Mark Scientist B.

College Events

Mainly 3 fests namely Ojass, culfest and urja are organized. Every branch has its own fest and event.In each fest, approx 1500 participants participate in each fest.The prizreifor each fest is high.other than civil engineering society fest is also organised

Campus Life

College infrastructure is good and Wi-Fi, labs, library are available in college. The classrooms are good with air conditioning system in our new campus. Hostel food is good but not excellent. The canteen is available. Dispensary is available and even ambulance is there. Sports and games are excellent and we have separate arenas for every sport.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

students get placemetns from the 5th semester and are also give training for a month. more company enter my college like tata ,mahindra, honda and etc. if you have good marks in you six semester and you answer the questions correctly , the company may offer you a high package,and you can also demand you package. for mechanical engineers 100%,electrical engineers 75%and other branch68%. i will work in the company after getting the degree

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
