Summer of 2008

I took AIEEE and got 50k rank and through Haryana State Counselling, I got this college. I selected this college as one of my acquaintance was in the same college and he referred me there according to my rank.

I opted for electronics and communications, in the 1st and 2nd year we studied English and maths as electives. In the 3rd year, we studied mainly electronics related subjects whereas in the final year, the emphasis was mainly on communications.I also had an opportunity to study environmental studies.

Companies like iyogi came to our college for internships, mainly the students were proactive and took internships outside in any start ups, the ecosystem of Delhi-NCR encouraged people to take these opportunities.

Companies like HCL, Infosys , Wipro regularly came to our college for placements. They used to hire on a large scale level picking up around 25% of total candidates, these companies offered standard packages which were offered to all the btech graduates throughout the country, it was around 3.25 lacs. Companies like Samsung also came and offered higher package around 6 lacs .

The fee structure was fairly reasonable when I passed out, it was 50k per year for tuition fees .

For high rankers in AIEEE, scholarship were provided in slots, also local Haryana students were also provided scholarship on the basis of their performance in the examinations.

I was satisfied with the overall campus life, extra curricular events were held in abundance. Lots of exposure was provided to high quality debates and extempore.

Exams were structured in the format defined by MDU under which the college is affiliated.Internals comprised of 50 marks in which 30 were for internal exams conducted twice in a semester. 20 marks were given on the basis of class performance and attendance. The final semester exams were of 100 marks each.
