Remarks

Top government college, good rank, rare opportunity, good profession, good infrastructure, peaceful city, low fees, best among new aiims, best govt hospital in east. The thing i like about getting into this college is 1.i dont feel i burdened my parents financially2.i study with brightest minds and hardworkers in the country in a top and acclaimed college3. Good and new infrastructureAlways wanted to be in a profession which was unique(no one in my family is a doctor and only few friends got into medical college), exclusive and awesome, which gives you a sense of importance, satisfaction, meaning and respect. Career stability. After considering my personal difficulty and lack of intrest in comprehending complex maths for engineering entrances, good results in medical entrances, desire to study in a top University, suggestions from family, friends and teachers, I decided to do mbbs. I would suggest to weigh pros and cons (in a written format) before taking any crucial decision.Dont come under pressure from anyone, just listen to their views, introspect and choose the best opportunity before you.

Course Curriculum Overview

Few changes were brought in when we joined.it included more weekly exams. Which makes you study for good but at the same time makes sunday "study time".Syllabus is significantly large and tough(for forst year).Passing becomes your goal. Can be managed if you put in effort. Its a bit of a confusion to understand what you are supposed to learn from the ocean of syllabus and what you are supposed to write in exams. But people still do passSeniors help you through important topics.

Placement Experience

5

Its a medical college so u have compulsary internship. You then become a licensed doctor, you are then free to continue studies, work in a hostpital, do anything you want

College Events

4

Chiasma annual college event(search it up on google and Instagram) pretty huge for a medical college, check out Students association of aiims Bhubaneswar page(SAAB) in insta and official site. That will give you an idea. With people from all cultures we have many cultural celebrations. Many other events are also conducted ( could not happen due to lockdown)

Campus Life

2 badminton courts, volley ball court, tennis court, basketball court, football ground, modern library, AC lecture theatre,Childrens park, two 2 storey dining hall, awesome well maintained hostels, no campus wifi, snack area and stationary store near lecture theatre.

Hostel Facilities

Cleanest bathroom i have ever seen in a hostel, water heater available, water dispenser in every floor, 2 students in a room for new students, 2 functional liftsRent included in that 5600 initially paid, friendly but strict hostel guards, wardens quite approachable, large hostel complex,Seniors have individual rooms.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Course Curriculum Overview:

We didn't know that we were the second batch of BCA in our college till we took admission. However following only the college curriculum is not sufficient to prepare yourself for industrial world as the duration of even semesters are only 4 month. This is what that should looked out for and after the odd semester exams we a gap of one month.

The placement is good with highest package being 19 lpa from JP Morgan to lowest is 3 lpa the average package is around 5 lpa . Students are eligible for placement tests from 6 sem as pwc comes for their launchpad program in 6th sem only. Companies like accenture, tcs, Infosys, cognizant, PWC, JP Morgan visit our college. Majority students around 82 percent gets placed in these companies. My plan after college is to work for any of these companies.
