Remarks

This is one of the best University in Odisha that why.and the reputation this university has is mind blowing specially around Odisha. along with that a number of chilling places are located around Berhampur which refreshes us time to time.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is definitely one of the best because the professors who teach us are very much experienced and qualified as well along with that the teaching environments are also soothing. And my curriculum is not so bulky but it covers all the topics that we must learn as a master degree pursuer.

Placement Experience

1.5

College cell and alumini of course help us to get a good job. For this many functions are managed and our alumni are invited so that we can meet them and get profited in future regards getting a job. Also our professors help us to get an interview with some reputed companies as well.

College Events

5

Cultural functions are important part of our university because we comes with the touch of being Odia. For these kind of functions our university have a dedicated hall for that with necessary lights, stage, sound system and all.

Fees and Financial Aid

ST SC are getting pretty much stipend money which definitely more than that addmission fees.and this makes the masters study almost free for them. The students who holds labour card they also gets the amount for fees from govt of Odisha as well.

Campus Life

Wi-Fi available, native library along with digital library is there also,2 bank branches are available for students and locals including sbi and canara bank.multiple ATMs are available 24*7,two Markets are there as well for students within the campus.

Hostel Facilities

I was staying in the hostel. In Berhampur University students can stay in individual rooms that one separate room for one person like that.which provides a facility of being uncompromising about your own routine.and hostel fees are like 7000 per annum.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Well, I passed out in 2024 and till then some corporate houses such as Bajaj and Deloitte were the only major corporate houses which provided us placements. Also, firms like Khaitan & Co and others also started coming for placements. On and average 40-50k were the initial salaries that law students of our college were given.

Curriculum is like ok for an govt engineering college not like an iit/nit. There are many departments where equipments are very old & haven't changed for a long time. Exams are conducted very fast like mid sem is conducted in 1/1.5 months and end sem is in 2 months
