IIFT admission consist of Aptitude test. After clearing the aptitude test, GD/PI shortlist is released for all the eligible candidates. The cut-off varies every year depending on composite score calculation that is based on previous scores of class 10th, 12th, and aptitide exam. Different weightages are assigned for this initial shortlisiting. After GD/PI rounds, final shortlist for admission into the programme is released by the institute with waitlist for Delhi & Kolkata campuses.IIFT earlier had its own aptitude exam until 2022. The admission process of IIFT was quite smooth. Yes, to get admission to IIFT we need to write an aptitude exam. The exam consists of 4 sections which are - Reading comprehension and verbal ability, general awareness, logical reasoning and Quantative aptitude. One need to clear the individual sectional cutoffs as well the complete cutoff to be considered for the first Shortlist. The admission process here at IIFT, Kolkata was pretty smooth. Your eligibility in this college was determined through the IIFT exam which was taking place till last year, but from this year onwards it is solely dependent on the CAT score. After clearly the cutoff score, I received a call within 15-20 days of result declaration and from that point on it was a slow but continuous process. However, it took them 5 months to wrap the whole process of GD-PI and our batch started officially on 10th of July, which is pretty late for Bschools, apart from that everything else was pretty much a cakewalk....Read More

I passed the IIFT 2022 exam administered by NTA. Between September 21 and October 30, 2021, applications could be submitted online. The application form cost 2500 rupees. A minimum 3-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 50% is required by the IIFT to enrol students in the MBA(IB) programme. Ten per cent of the seats were reserved for newly introduced EWS reservations. On December 5, 2021, the exam was administered. For Gen 95 percentile with 100 marks was the cutoff for the Gen category for an interview call. I have given IIFT 2022 exam conducted by NTA. The application form was filled online between 21 september 2021 and 30 october 2021. Application form cost was Rs. 2500. The prerequisite to get enrolled into MBA(IB) from IIFT is to have minimum 3 years Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks. I have availed EWS reservation in which 10% of the total seats are reserved. The exam was conducted on 5 December 2021. The cutoff for ews category was 90 percentile with 86 marks for an interview call. There was a technical software glitch in the IIFT exam which was conducted on 5 December 2021 in some centers where the exam was reconducted which caused problems for students due to a mismatch in schedule and also caused delays in results and further GD/PI process. The improvement I would suggest to National Testing Agency to use high-quality user-friendly software to conduct exams and they can put some mock IIFT exams before the actual IIFT exam to check for faults....Read More
