Course Curriculum Overview

The entire course curriculum for the Ph.D. program was very well researched and focused on the core subject. I found the laboratories updated with all the relevant types of equipment for each student.

Placement Experience

4.5

The university has quite a recognition and thus renowned names are known to come within the campus. Besides, after completing my Ph.D. from Adesh, there are chances of a much brighter future. The teachers keep telling the students about the future scope of the subject as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the 3-year course Ph.D. Genetics program at Adesh University is 2.45 Lakhs INR. This included the tuition fee, registration fee, and other fees within the structure. Comparatively, the fee structure was decent.

Campus Life

The extracurricular activities and other events in the college are quite regular in the campus. I myself have been a part of many of them. Also, the university is equal to all caste, gender, sex, etc. No such differentiation is allowed within the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors of Adresh University are very co-operative. Whenever I interacted with them for any query or question, they have always motivated or assisted me with the same. Besides, they are also very friendly to us.

Admission

After my masters, I decided to continue my academics further with the Ph.D. course. For that, I had to complete my masters with an aggregate of 55%. Also, I had to appear for an entrance examination conducted by the University itself. I found the admission process simple.

Faculty

4

Adesh University has some of the best faculty members in the country. They are well qualified and professional with the classes. Whenever I faced any issues with any particular subject, they made sure to clear it instantly.

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
