Remarks

This college helped me to attain quality education without having to compromise on anything. I have received everything I could ask for in a distance education. It has been a satisfying experience. They conduct the admission process throughout the year as well. It is a great college if you're going for distance learning.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was working while doing my distance learning. The study materials were provided. The course structure was assembled in a way I could manage both my work and studies. Exams were conducted regularly. There were internal assessments as well as semester examinations. Since my course was English I didn't require attendance for practical or theory. You have to register for the examination online and also send a print out copy along with the fee remittance challan to the IDE through post. You can choose the center for examination according to your convenience.

Placement Experience

3.5

IDE has a placement cell where top recruiters like ICICI Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Cognizant, Wipro etc., visit. Students can contact the placement cell through email directoride@unom.ac.in or phone number 044-25613716. Highest salary offered was Rs. 50,000 a month. College doesn't provide internships. Although you can find one easily on your own.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is altogether feasible. I paid about Rs. 16,110 for three years which will be approximately Rs. 6000 a year. Fee is to be submitted at the beginning of every year. It is comparatively a justifiable amount.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships offered by the government for the students under SC/ST category. An allowance of Rs.500 is also provided. There's the State Government Scholarship for the Disabled for physically challenged candidates.

Campus Life

Since it's a distance education college, there's not much extracurricular activities or clubs active. And also my course was English so I don't have any idea about the efficiency of the science labs but I have heard they're good.

Admission

My admission process was pretty easy. I filled out the application online and attached the necessary documents to it. There would be an entrance exam based on which the merit list would be published. According to the list and the rank you've acquired you would be given a seat.

Faculty

3.5

I didn't have much interaction with the faculty members of the college. But whenever I did, it was transparent how eligible and qualified they were. They were always ready to help me out with doubts and troubles I had during my course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is vast. But dental also deals with practical skills. So it's not that hard. The exams can be hard if you prepare at the last minute. But otherwise it's manageable. We write 3 IA and one final paper. And we get to write a mock paper before the finals. We'll be having model practical exams as well before the final practical exam.

The infrastructure of the college campus is very good and peaceful as well. My college has a vast library which works from 8.30 a.m to 5.30 p.m on all working days and study holidays. Here if a student wants to borrow any other books other than his/her course, they need to seek prior permission of the Principal to get them books.
