Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] [Information Technology]

Here at Sengunthar Engineering College, along with the perfect academics, the campus life and lab along with the workshop activities were of great interest. Also, the students preferred this college because of the location, convenience, and fresh environment.

The course and syllabus were divided into the ratio 60:40 where the major part was for the lectures while the rest for the lab and practical sessions for the students. We had semester exams and there were lectures with practicals in the computer labs for five days a week.

The NCR group of corporations, TCS, HCL came to Sengunthar Engineering College for the placement and took several rounds of interviews with whom they thought had efficiency. At first, the package offered was below average but later on as per the work profile, they tend to increase after the probation period. Also, there were internship opportunities to which students responded efficiently.

As this was an engineering college, there were many technical events and fests at the campus, events like faculty greetings events and celebration of festivals from the region. Moreover, teachers' day and college inauguration day was one of the major events.

The structure was feasible and much reasonable. The payment of the fees can be done every year or every semester as per the student's convenience and mere choice but the same amount of 50,000 was to be paid for this bachelor's degree.

As of the extracurricular activities, we had a court on the campus itself where we used to play sports, and also there were competition programs. Apart from it, the college had medical facilities, library, auditorium, and cafeteria where students can enjoy campus life and spend their leisure time.

As this college was affiliated with Anna University and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education, I went to the campus for admission for my bachelor of technology from the Information Technology stream and the eligibility criteria was not strict so I was able to make it through after the TNEA.

There was a separate department where there were lecture faculty, lab faculty, associates, professors, and assistant professors who were given the subject to teach based on their curriculum and experience. They were excellent in their work and several times the head of the department took our lectures for selective topics.
