Course Curriculum Overview

The course is quite detailed and introduces us to about 68 Acts. We have about 6 semesters spanning over 3 years. The course is more focussed on the practical side with moot court and court visits that help in honing the advocacy skills of the students.

Placement Experience

The college does not hold any placement interviews but they inform the students about the reputed firms and companies to which they can apply. They often put up pamphlets and notices regarding recruitments and the students get a chance to apply in all these companies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite affordable as it is a government institution. For the general category it amounts to 8000 per year while for the SC/ST candidates it is even lesser. Its completely affordable for all groups of students.

Campus Life

Debates, moot courts and legal drafting competition and parliamentary debates on contemporary issues and judged by the Dignitaries are some of the events held at the college. Inter college competitions between law colleges also happen which is a fun time where we get to mix with a range of students.

Admission

TMC is one of the oldest government colleges in Thane and has produced many legends. The admission process is made on the basis of merit. Any graduate can apply for the course. There is no specific entrance exam for admission in the college.

Faculty

Most of our faculty include practising lawyers. They impart to us relevant knowledge and enlighten us about contemporary realities. They have been quite supportive and push us to deliver our best. They support us in every way possible and I am quite happy with the faculty

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

The college is best for placement and club activity

Placement Experience:

In my branch, the placement is good In 2025, 150 students are placed in Wipro, infosys, Amazon and Google like companies the minimum package is seven lakh. Also in my branch one Student it is placed in Amazon with 47 lakh rupees package in college. They already prepare Student for interviews and aptitude test. The placement cell is conduct aptitude test with the Google for students for each semester in that they test our coding skills, English skills and attitude test from that they give us a detail information in which skills are lacking and on which skill we want to work

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

My college

Placement Experience:

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
