Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very vast and consists of lectures, fieldwork as well as lab work. You need to have at least 75% attendance and the college is very strict about this. There is ample emphasis on research.

Placement Experience

The college has plenty of opportunities for internships and placements as well. The placements are done in several government research institutions. The professors also offer great career counseling and other helpful advice.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college has a different fee structure for the students within Maharashtra universities and outside Maharashtra universities. The total fees for the MA program for one academic year are Rs. 7,150 and this including lab fees, hostel deposit, etc.

Campus Life

The National Service Scheme(NSS) and the National Cadet Corps(NCC) are very active and they always accept new members. They organize several events in the campus. There is also an international students cell because students from different nationalities come here for studying.

Admission

Admission to MA linguistics program will be done on the basis of the merit obtained in graduation. You will need to submit your Mark sheets, character certificate from past HOD, Migration Certificate and other documents. The process itself is online.

Faculty

The faculty is very well qualified and experienced as well. The linguistics department HOD is Dr. Sonal Kulkarni-Joshi. All the professors have PhD's and the college hires only on the basis of UGC's regulations.

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.
