Course Curriculum Overview
B.A., LL.B. integrated double degree course combines Bachelors' degree course in Arts together with the Bachelors' degree course in Law. Teaching and training in the college are undertaken in accordance with the regulations of the Bar Council of India. The college being affiliated to Karnataka State Law University from the year 2009 follows the syllabus prescribed by this University.
Placement Experience
The top recruiting companies like Wipro, Infosys, Baja Allianz, Mecon Limited often visit the college to recruit the students. Each registered student shall have completed minimum of 20 weeks of internship during the entire period of legal studies under NGO, Trial and Appellate Advocates, Judiciary; Legal Regulatory authorities, legislatures and Parliament, other Legal functionaries, Market Institutions, Law Firms, Companies and Local Self Government.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The candidates admitted to the Five Year B.A., LL.B. course and those admitted to such course shall pay the tuition and other fees as prescribed by the University from time to time. The course fee for BA LLB is around INR 60,000 to 69,000 which varied is every year. Also a student from a class gets the scholarship from college trust every year.
Campus Life
The college provides many facilities like gym, e-library, Canteen, Medical facilities, a big playground and a basketball court. The library of Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies is well equipped latest editions of books. The institute also provides many other facilities like Yoga Centre, sports, medical facilities etc.
Admission
Admission to the course shall be made strictly on the basis of the merit taking into account total marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Provided that while making admission to the course reservation policy of the Government of Karnataka governing admission to higher educational Institutions issued from time to time shall be applied.
Faculty
The institute currently offers two courses BA+LLB, & BBA+LLB. The campus of Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies is fully Wi-Fi enabled for the students, professor & non-academic staff. The Institution?s location is close to courts. So other government agencies, most of the litigation-focused firms, technology and biotechnology companies and the law firms who serve them are located relatively near which makes it easy for the full-time students to balance practical work/clinical work.
