Remarks

The college management is doing a great work by continiously developing standards keeping in pace with the best universities in the world. The college has an awesome campus life and people will carry a lifetime experience of all good things from this campus. The faculties are its assets the student mis is also an added advantage for all as people from different states and different countries come to this college to study.

Entrance Preview

AIEEE, I scored low in AIEEE and got it through centralised councelling held by CBSE that year. I was alotted B.Tech(EEE) as it was my first preference given. The location, infrastructure and different collaborations with other foreign universities along with good pool of faculties helped me to choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is set by distinguished faculties from allover north region mainly containing faculties from IIT Delhi and Roorkie therefore it has the latest and most relevant materials as our syllabus. The course mainly focused on practical aspects and it helped to have an edge over the others.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship in both 3rd and 4th year in BSNL Kolkata and Prolific Automation. It was a 2 months internship and our college arranged for it no stipend was given by the companies. There was flexibility to choose company from our own sources, the college contacted them later and provided them with the detailed structure of completion of the internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

As it is located in one of the most developed places in India it enjoyed the availibility of a good pool of companies. Placements were good at our times and on continious feedback from our juniors we come to know that placements are at a increasing pase with good mncs lining up to take students. Though we are prohibitted from mentioning the exact packages but I can assure you that the packages are at per best private engineering colleges in India like VIT & Manipal.

College Events

4.5

North India's biggest fests are held at Sharda University every year. There are two types of fests, one is cultural and one is technical. In cultural fest celebraties like Sonu Nigam, KK, Sukbinder Singh, JAL band, Simon Webb have peformed in our college. Redbull Tour Bus performed last year. In technical fests lots of innovations are seen where people make and compete with best colleges in India. The cultural fest is of 2days and technical fest is also of two days.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are given on merit basis by the university some scholarships are only for students with low income background. Loans are easily available from PNB or Axis bank or leading private banks. The university has tie ups with various banks and loans are hassle free.

Campus Life

4

In B.Tech there were approximately 40% girls and 60 % boys. There was a good mix of students from across the globe. We had international students in our batch and also had university tie ups with foreign universities. Workshops were held at regular basis sometimes weekly and sometimes monthly. There were official groups who used to represent our college all over India and abroad under different ctegories. Economic status of most of the students were good leaving a few number of students. Those students were ensured financial help through scholarships. The campus had a cohesiveness among all the students irrespective of their trade and background.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels are really awesome there are options of single, double, tripple & four people sharing rooms with or without attached toilets. The mess food is ok food is not so good but its better than other places. All the hostels are new and rooms are comfortable with 24hours electricity and water supply. Additional coolers and ACs can be installed with extra payments. Total hostel and mess fees sum upto 70k as starting per year and it varies year to year with types of rooms available and opted for. There are ample rooms to accomodate all the students studying there.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior student were very helpfull i exoerienced no ragging when I joined the college, we just had formal introductions and no legendary myths like ragging happened with us. The first year students had seperate hostels people are spread allover India and they are always there to help us in our career whenever needed. We are connected through a common alumini portal and linkedin and it binds us together all the time we have annual reunions also.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.
