College review of NIELIT, Calicut.

Taking M.tech from NIELIT Calicut in the embedded system was one of the favourable outcomes in my life. The curriculum is here designed in such a way that students are offered lab experience. The multicultural atmosphere and diversity keep the campus exciting, fun and vibrant.

The course curriculum for this course is good and tough as well. The curriculum of embedded systems includes system design using embedded processors, embedded programming etc. The first semester has a seminar which will be evaluated.

Our college has a placement cell, which provides placement assistance to students. The previous students are placed in companies such as TI, Intel, analog devices, Qualcomm etc.our college have internship recourses as well. Duration of internship is 1/2/3/4 weeks. You need to pay a fee for internship for one-week internship fee is Rs2000.

Fees shall be Rs65,000/- per semester which includes a semester tuition fee of Rs50,000/- and special laboratory tuition fees of Rs15,000/-. SC/ST students are eligible for a full tuition fee waiver and need to pay only Rs8,500 at the time of admission.

They do not have a loan facility as such but they provide scholarship for SC/ST/ physically handicapped and female students pursuing NIELIT(DOEACC) Level courses.you need to clear the papers in the first attempt and you parents income should not be more than 1lac per annum.

My program was a practical oriented one so labs visits were frequent. Labs are well maintained with updated technology. Last year one week customized training on solar power plant system design was conducted. In March 2018 we organised a mega blood donation camp.

This course has 18 seats in total. You should be an Indian national. If you are B.tech or equivalent from institutions approved by AICTE you can apply to this course. Candidates who have passed AMIE/AMIETE examination can also apply. You have to apply online.

The faculty is reasonably skilled, affectionate and show moral intention to help students to attain their goals. I like our lectures and enjoy the class most when they use their real-life experiences in their teaching.
