Ajay Singh's Review On Sharda University, Greater Noida

Entrance Exam - AIEEE. They were taking below 50.000 state rank.My Rank was 21000 .It was the only college with its own hospital .And being its own hospital is a big thing for a college. Also it has the best infrastructure among the colleges in Gr. Noida .I have tried for Amity also, but fees was almost double for my Branch.

Courses are well organised.There are six subs and three labs in every semester. Subjects also include more exposure to the new software based on Electronics like - MATLAB, ORCAD, PSPICE etc. CADANCE has a tie up with sharda so that is a beneficial thing if you want to go in the core.

I did my internship from Airport authority of India(AAI) and IIT delhi. I dint got any stipend but it was govt so gained knowledge. I must suggest, do the course instead of internship as it will help you at time of placements. Join JAVA course as well as it will help you sit for IT company's placement drives.

Placement cell in our college did a great job. They recently signed an MOU with Tech Mahindra so that it can pick up students from college itself every year.Also many companies visited at our college.I got three placements from my college with different packages.

I never opted for loan facility so don't have any experience about that. But yes there are loan facilities from every bank. You can go for education loan as per their different interest rates.

I must say, Sharda was more focusing on the extra curricular activities every time. We were having inter branch cricket and football tournaments every semester.Also basket ball tournaments were also taking place once in a while.we were also having TT and others competitions as well.

Exam structure is great. You have 30 internal and 30 mid terms and 40 end terms every semester.the total is 100 of every subject .For internal - Assignment, viva , class tests and Presentation .Mid term - is a written exam of 30 marks.End term is also a written exam for 100 marks but it converted to 40. Based on that we get CGPAs.

Faculty was best. Few were awesome at their knowledge. As we were having six subs in every semester so at-least 5 of them were teaching with full dignity. So there is always one sub which we have to work by our own. But if you compare with other colleges, i think, one subject is not an issue.
