Vellalar College for Women

My college is really amazing. Be it teachers, infrastructure, crowd, extracurricular activities every thing is really good. There is library & Central research laboratory also available here. The campus life is appreciating.

The course curriculum as well as the course structure is up to the mark. I am doing Bachelor of Arts [BA] (English Literature) and the curriculum is set in such a way so as we can improve our understanding and skills in it. There are skill based subjects as well such as English for life skills to improve our skills in writing. And it's the exams are Semistars wise

The placement cell help us practically for the placements such as for the interviews. There are good opportunities of jobs here. There are various on-campus placements. Many companies come here for placements of students.

The fee structure is very feasible of my college. I am doing Bachelor of Arts [BA] (English Literature) the fees of it is just Rs.1,478 and even The total three years fees is Just Rs. 4,174 Even scholarships are also available here for the students.

There are various scholarships available in my college as per government guidelines. The Students who Want to apply for scholarships should have 90% of attendance. Also full fee concessions to SC/ST, converted Christian's and most backward community students is available.

My college is mainly focused on empowering of womens with education. There are various co-curricular as well as extracurricular activities conducted through the year for women development and exposure. Also there are various additional courses for the students to be skilled. Its totally women oriented college. So there are no chances of any kind of inequalities on the basis of gender here.

I got my admission here after passing my higher secondary examination. The admission was made on the basis of merit. The eligibility for admission here is to pass in higher secondary or an equivalent examination organised by the Bharathiar University, coimbatore. I chose english literature as I love writing so I want to explore the literature in deep, also I want to be a professor in it.

The faculty of my college is well qualified. And they teach us with full of energy and enthusiasm. The teachers try to help us in every manner. They are very approachable. They try there best to give us all the practical knowledge then just the theortical information.
