Remarks

I enjoyed learning at JRSU. The course content was enriching and I learned a lot. Plus, there were many extracurriculars offered to all students. If the infrastructure is improved and there are more professors joining the faculty, it can be improved even more!

Course Curriculum Overview

This college is new and has kept up to date regarding the information of police sciences and security management. There are two mid-semester exams for each semester, plus final exams in each semester.

Placement Experience

1.5

Unfortunately, there is no on-campus placements. This college hasn't invited any companies to their campus yet, so most students usually opt for off-campus placements. Our college also doesn't provide any internships.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is reasonable. For my Bachelor's degree course in Forensic Science, the fees were Rs. 15,000 per year for all three years. Some students are also eligible for scholarships. The fees for other courses range from 10,000 to 30,000 per year. The fees only include education as JRSU does not provide accommodation.

Campus Life

JRSU encourages all of us students to take part in sports and other extracurriculars. Some activities to participate in are playing chess, learning different martial arts, or taking the yoga and drill classes.

Alumni/Alumna

JRSU was founded in 2016. The course curriculum is good, but since the outgoing batches are few in number, the alumni network is not yet large. However, the senior students are friendly and the atmosphere is usually lively!

Admission

I obtained admission to the college due to my 12th marks being higher than 50%, which is the basic requirement. Also, I wrote both the common entrance exam and also a specific entrance exam for my course: BSc. Hons Forensic Science. They consider the scores from both of these exams.

Faculty

5

The faculty is still developing at our college, as there are not many professors. However, the professors who currently are in place are knowledgeable, well-trained and have much experience. And they are interesting to listen to!

Bokaro Steel City College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Physics)
Reviewed on Jul 16, 2021(Enrolled 2019)

Course Curriculum Overview:

From the beginning of my 11th and 12th standard I'm very fond of Physics and mathematics that's why I choose to persue honours in physics and also there are more opportunities and jobs after bsc in physics compared to other streams. In bokaro steel city college the faculty: student ratio is not that great(1 per 250 students) as it is managed by state government. The qualification of teachers is above average (Almost every teacher has a P.hd) but the quality of teaching is not that great. Teachers often miss there classes and there way of teaching is very boring. On usual exams are taken in a interval of 6 to 8 months. But due to covid situation the exams got very much delayed l mean upto 10 to 12months. If you can complete the syllabus just by having few glances of the topics and follow the previous year question its quite easy to pass the examination by securing good marks. But most of the students always fail (almost 50% every semester).
