Course Curriculum Overview

All the courses are offered semester wise. So the exams are also taken semester wise. The syllabus is interesting and well organised. Our evaluations are based on assignments, 2-hour practical sessions in labs, lecture of 1 hour and 15 minutes and the remainder are the internals.

Placement Experience

The college does not provide any type of placement opportunities. They don? even provide any guidance or support on what should we take on after college. The teachers are kind enough to offer some help with internships and job offer through some of their contacts.

College Events

The college doesn? hold any events like cultural fest or annual fest. Though we have sports day events here where students participate in games and sports like cricket, kho kho, kab Badi, race etc. The college hold seminars and workshops, our last workshop was on quantum mechanics.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for bachelor? and master? program in Sciences is ?13,425 tuition fees and ?7875 are other fees to be paid at the beginning of every semester. So the total fees for a long duration of five years will be ?1.07 Lakhs. The fees are of a reasonable amount.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is nice. The extracurricular activities can be availed by students who paid for it. Though it is added in other fees taken by the college. It provides a games room, reading room, library, outdoor sports activities and campus is lush green.

Admission

My admission in this program was granted on the based of the marks I scored in the entrance test conducted by the university. After that, you need to submit your necessary documents with an application fee. The procedure to do the needful is online from the university? official website.

Faculty

The faculty is nice and ready to help anytime. The faculty consists of many experienced teachers who were teaching since past 16-18 years and also some of fresher teachers. Their teaching methods were understandable. The faculty are present on campus till 5:00 in the evening.

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

IIM Jammu is a spring breaker!

Placement Experience:

Till we are doing BBA there are no placements but from 4th year we are posted directly for MBA and then the placement eligibility starts. Average is between 10-15 lakhs and many prominent industries which we have heard of have started coming to IIM Jammu. Also, placements record were nearly 96% at IIM Jammu.

AIIMS JAMMU TOTAL REVEIW

Placement Experience:

You can get a job here after completing MBBS or md. Can go to any hospital or open your own. 1.5L per month is avg for a doctor. Starting around 90k a month. Internship gives 28500 per month. No batch has currently passed out from this college . Comparatively new college. 2020 batch(oldest batch) still doing internship.
