Mumbai Film Academy, film making and direction course
Reviewed on Jun 15, 2020

Course Curriculum Overview

Mumbai Film Academy offers almost 12 courses. Each course duration was about 12months. The duration of my diploma course of film making and direction was also of 12 months. The awesome premises of the college, great infrastructure and facilities were the best part of the Mumbai Film Academy. There was a semester exam as well as continue practical sessions.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement and job opportunities were almost 100%.The talented students from each field placed from here in different advertisements or TV shows. About 50% students from my batch placed in different TV Shows and others were went for their personal direction house.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was quite less than other academies. College took almost 80-90 thousands fees for 1 year diploma course. As the course duration reduces the fees also reduces. Different scholarships schemes were also available here for talented students.

Campus Life

The college focused on practical oriented teaching. Hence different practical sessions, competitions were the daily part of the this college. To enhance the direction, acting skills different workshops held continuously by the college with professional faculty.

Hostel Facilities

The college had separate hostels for boys and girls. Rules and regulations of the hostel was quite strict. The fees of the hostel was about 10-12 thousands per year. As well as 3star hostel was also available in 25-30 thousands for rich students. The hostel was provided with all of the facilities.

Admission

Mumbai Film Academy is well known academy in Mumbai. Anyone who wants to do career in film industry as a singer, director or actor must take admission in Mumbai Film Academy for enhancement of skills. I also dreamt the same hence I took the admission for film making and direction course in Mumbai Film Academy. The admission process was based on 12th score as well as on interview basis.

Faculty

4

The college faculty was just excellent. All the faculty was the highly experienced people in film industry. Each faculty had a great knowledge and skills about their field such as acting, singing or direction. Most of the faculty was nationally or internationally awarded professionals from the film industry or graduates from the national school of drama.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) course primarily due to its highly comprehensive coverage of core business aspects specially human resources. The curriculum is well-structured to offer a deep understanding of corporate administration and strategic management, which strongly influenced my decision to enroll. Regarding the examination structure, semester exams are conducted systematically every six months, with internal assessments, assignments, and class presentations spread across the term. The timing is generally manageable, and the difficulty level ranges from moderate to high, effectively testing a student's analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities rather than just memory recall.

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chooses this curriculum as I am intrested to do law. Many of students and other peoples praises the college as "Best College of Law" in Marathwada region. To be honest. Really it is best college. Which gives us best curriculum during our academic year. The curriculum of college teaches me how to become a good lawyer. The arguing skills etc. There should be no suggestions from my side just to imrove the course curriculum as it is overall good. The timings and scheduled are fixed by college and university. Generally the exam is in two shifts 10:00 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 5.00pm.

Remarks:

Laxminarayan Institute of Technology is a reputed institute, when it comes to the field of Chemical Engineering. The placement at LIT for M.Tech students is also decent. In my batch, 50% of the students were placed on Campus, which is better than many NITs for Chemical Engineers doing M.Tech. The admission fees of 27,000 per year is also less in comparison with other institutes. The Teachers at LIT are also vastly experienced. Also the Institute was in my hometown, which made my decision even more easier.
