Review on Faculties and extracurricular activities

The course is so good as it is considered as a foundation course for students who want make their carrer in the field of science. As I am doing my b.sc in computer science. In our course there are 8 subjects from which 4 are theortical and rest are practicals. Industrial visit are a part of course. Semesters exams are conducted by college in the month of May and December. Overall the course is chill if you study regularly but sometimes exams leaves us hectic too.

Placements are good in our college.In my course about 50 to 60% students got placed in top recuriting companies. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2-3 LPA. Top recuriting companies like Accenture, Gujarat Fluorochemicals, Wipro, Verizon and much more visit our campus for placement. Top roles like research scientist, manager, assistant manager etc are offered to students. Some good students also got a chance for internships in private companies.

The fee structure of bsc at Global Open University is quite feasible. The course has the duration of 3 years. The fees of per year is around 25 thousand. Hence the total for the course is around 80 thousand which is very affordable and as per the facilities provided by the college is good.

There are various extracurricular activities offered by college for students like student government, athletics, academic and professional organizations, volunteer and service related activities, arts, cultural activities and so on. Each activity offers students an opportunity to work with others and to gain essential life skills. These activities helps us to improve leadership and interpersonal skills.

TGOU hostel is well maintained with more than average infrastructure. Hostel also have wi-fi facilities along with that they give permission to use laptops in the hostel. 24hours electricity and water facilities is provided by hostel. Hostel celebrates almost all festivals celebrated across the country.

B.Sc is a undergraduate 3 year programme for Science students. I opt for B.Sc because I always want to do job in Research and development sector and this course provides great employment opportunities in this. I found B.Sc little comfortable than other courses. Students need to be good or more than average in Science and maths subject. In our college admission is based on merit in the previous qualifying examination. One should have 55% marks in 10+2 exams for applying in this course.

The faculties here are specialised in various fields. They are able to teach many concepts in a practical manner where we can get a clear understanding of how we can apply the knowledge in our daily lives as well in future. Teachers are highly skilled , supportive and helpful here. They help in students in research projects.
