How College Encouraged Me To Be a Teacher

I have always loved English and knew I wanted to study it. But, I never knew what I wanted to be. Studying in this lovely place has made me sure that I want to be a professor or teacher and help students in the path of learning.

The course is divided into 4 semesters over a period of 2 years. Unlike the Bachelors course in English, this course is way more detailed and has much more reading and writing to do, albeit in a shorter span!

The placement opportunities are great for Commerce and Arts students here. Quite a few media companies, both online and offline drop in during placement season to offer us a variety of jobs in the field of journalism.

The fee structure differs from course to course. The Bachelors courses cost less and the 1 year diploma courses cost much more. My M.A English course costs Rs 7200 annually, so a total fee of Rs 14,400 was required.

As with so many other universities, we have a plethora of events in our college, inciting healthy competition! There are sporting events, music and dance events which happen round the year for students to enjoy.

For taking admission in this college for a postgraduate degree, you need to have completed your graduation from a recognized college with at least 50% aggregate in your graduation. Then you apply online and are selected if your name appears on the merit list.

I adore my professors! Even when the prose drags on, the professors can give an insightful tinge to it and make you think about the text for hours! With this kind of environment, class is never boring or repetitive.
