Remarks

My university life was quite busy and happening. My journey in the university was pretty satisfactory. Those were the best days in my entire academic career. All the professors guided me throughout my journey. I am still in touch with some of my professors.

Course Curriculum Overview

The M.Sc program in Horticulture is a course of two years. Every year we had to give two semesters and total four semesters in the entire course. There were frequent lab works specially in final year, which was pretty hectic but at the end it was beneficial for all of us.

Placement Experience

3

The university did not organize any placement programs for us but they arranged several training programs for the students to make us eligible to get a job after finishing the course. The two training programs that I had attended were on green house management for high value horticulture crops and post harvest handling of horticulture crops respectively.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government public university, the fees structure of the university was pretty economic. The fees of the course were to be paid on the semester basis. They did not take the entire course fees altogether.

Campus Life

There was an unity in our batch. We were all friends with each other and helped each other whenever it was needed. The university often organised workshops for us, specially in the last year. There was a workshop on carrier opportunities for the students where we were taught about the career prospects in a detailed manner.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors were extremely helpful. They helped us throughout in our course. They assisted us in our projects and lab works and also helped us with notes and study materials. I am still friends with some of my seniors.

Admission

The admission process in this university was pretty strict. There were only four seats for this course. I applied through online for this course. Then on the date given by the university, I had to appear for an entrance test. My name was there on the first list. After the registration process our class got started in just a few days.

Faculty

4.5

The professors of our university were extremely helpful and all of them were highly qualified and experienced. Besides teaching us they also helped us with our training programs organized by the university. The faculty members of the university were also very helpful and compassionate towards us.

Special aspects is it has coding and it is related to technology. It prepares us very good for industries and further academic pursuits. Suggested area of improvement is in c++ coding class they teach us only theory not coding. Exams happens in every 2 months.

i think the students become eligible for placements from the 13th term. our first batch hasn't graduated yet. they are due to graduate in 2026. but certain law firms which have visited our college and have offered internships to our students are Khaitan & Co., Luthra, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, IndusLaw. Honestly, I have not decided yet what career i would want to pursue but yes, having a campus placement in hand definitely gives a sense of security. I may pursue an LLM after this or may enter into litigation.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are done in the final year. In the 7th semester, students have to go for a semester-long industrial training. Some students are offered pre-placement offers, and some sit for the placement process. The highest packages have gone upto 8 LPA-10 LPA, in quality/supply chain/management related roles. More than 10-15 companies visit, and almost all of the students get placed. I personally would like to go for higher studies.
