Great place for College life

I took AIEEE 315. This is one of the best college in North India and I want to pursue my education here. I didnt want to go south for studies and my score in JEE wasnt that great which can help me to get admission in IITs.

I did my training in NTPC. It was not an internship though. It was in NTPC Badarpur. The training was of around 1 month and helped in learning various stuffs related to electrical machines.

Placement was not very good for core branches the year in which I passed i.e. 2012. For Energy very few companies visited which were core. Still there were good amount of options available in Software field.

There were various events that used to happen in college throughout the year. The main college tech fest and cultural fest attracts lot of student from Madhya Pradesh. I saw performance of Kailash Kher that I remember during the fests.

During my time fees structure was decent and not costly. I paid around 45k a year as tuition fees other than that hostel fees was very less and was on yearly basis. Mess fees was also there and was about 15k a year.

Scholarship was available in the college but it was not for students from general class. Students from scheduled caste,scheduled tribe,other backward classes used to get scholarship.

Campus life was good cultural activities used to happen on consistent basis. Gender ratios was ok and not very good as you cant expect very good ratios in engineering college and that even varies with branches.

Hostel facilities was not very good for early years that is year 1 and 2 the quality of food was pathetic in early years but as time passed in third and fourth year the quality of food was very good.

Alumni of the college are very good and are place across industries and across various big organization across the world. I havent tried to reach them for help though but heard from friends that they are helpful.

Exams happens at semester level every semester 5-6 main subjects apart from 2-3 lab sessions are there. Exams are not much hectic but as the students studies on last days, they feels some pressure for sure.

Faculty was good. There was lack of faculty with good education (PH.Ds) in early years.
